Dude, I was provoking before provoking was even a thing. I remember this one time, I provoked your mom and she was all, I'm provoked but then, it was all cool, but I still provoked her and that was a big deal. You know, back in the schoolyard, they used to call me the provoker, because I could provoke with the best of them. When it came to provokification, I was essentially amazing.

I'm on the fence with this rule. I think it's either going to be a great thing or a horrific thing. The "N"-word was used as a derogatory term for hundreds of years... then in the 80's it became a big no-no. Then just as soon as the 90's come, the big time rappers start slinging it around like it's no big deal. Over these last 20+ years, we are seeing it watered down. Yes, there are people slinging this insult with it's full intent here and there, but for the most part, insulting, humiliation, and degradation aren't the motivation behind the use of the word... pop culture/music industry has seen to that.We all look at a football game and see the same thing. There are 44 players on the field at one time and odds are, 35 or more are black. If someone drops the N-word out there, odds are, it's going to be a black person. Mathematics tell you that... not bigotry. So, in the end, the numbers dictate that the majority of the players getting penalized and ejected would be black. That's where I think the results will be extreme. How will society see this and react? I truly don't know. That's why I think the ramifications of this rule will be either tremendous or completely awful. I don't really think there will be a middle ground.

I don't think the refs will be throwing a lot of flags for this. I think it will only be when the ref is completely clear on who the guilty person is. The refs aren't stupid. You're not giving them enough credit.

LOL.There have been many many of these polls, mostly run by people who want the name banned. They almost all show there isn't a lot of offense taken. Some tribes have made "official" statements to that. I'm from a mixed-race family, with an indian brother and sister. Neither of them gives a rats ass about the name. And they don't go around referring to themselves as "Native American" either. That crap is for people who are professionally offended.

It would be a unsportsman like conduct penalty. Not sure they would identify the offense, over the stadium loudspeakers.
