(editted to fix omission) Since many Bucs fans are clamoring for the Bucs to draft a first round pick, here are the win-loss rookie records of all 29 first round QBs drafted since 2010 and some takeaways.

20 Losing Rookies (see below)
3 Winning Rookies Luck 11-5, Griffin 9-7, Jackson 6-1
2 Even Rookie Bridgewater 6-6, Watson 3-3
4 Bench to Bust Rookies 3 or less starts (Lynch, Manziel, Locker, Tebow)
1 Bench to Future starter (Mahomes 1-0 as rookie).

Takeaways
1) Only 1 out of 30, Mahomes, spent the first year holding a clipboard and went on to succeed. Teams don't draft a QB in the first round intending for them to hold a clipboard all year.

2) 21 started 10 or more games as a rookie, 72%, but only 2 of those had winning records. 10%. 1st Rd. Rookie QBs are going to play and they are going to lose.

3) Beware Bucs. You are in Bust Territory at 14. QBs picked 13-32: Haskins, Lynch, Manziel, Bridgewater, Manuel, Weeden, Tebow and Lamar Jackson. 5 flat out busts, 1 too soon to tell, 1 average, 1 very good.
