Who would be upset if we drafted tight ends with our first 2 picks? i just read the article about the spread offense. Adding 2 of the top tight ends in draft would change our offense for the next 4 years. I have to think defense will be addressed with Lovie's favorite free agents .

I would be upset about it. I think Tim Wright eliminates the need for two tight ends and good TEs are often found after the first round. Of the four Pro Bowl TEs, only one was picked in the first round, two were fourth rounders and Graham was the end of the third round.

That would put Lovie and co. on a short leash. Who are we hiring as GM? Matt Millen? I think a guy who is more of a complete player like Ebron or CJ later because we already have Wright so why would we use a premium pick on another guy with similar skill set ? Pick no.7 is not too early to pick any player who you think can be a force in the NFL. As someone mentioned if you can draft a SS with mediocre cover skills you can draft anyone. I would be quite happy with a OL and TE with the 1st two picks. There are a variety of options.

No thanks. I would prefer taking whoever falls to the second out of the top 3 TEs and then taking a gamble on Colt Lyerla in the fifth or sixth round if we our drafting two TE's.

agree about the ss. Those are great players, but it guess it's tough to make that statement in a vacuum. Which draft able te is on that level? And to take it a step further, are the other positions in the draft junk or do they correlate to pro bowl quality?
