Still the best corner in football by far. He also has no reason to restructure. Why would he? We aren't going to cut him. He knows that. Everyone knows that. No one is trading for him. They would have done it last year.

As i have explained several times now, restructuring to a contract with guaranteed money is in hid best interest. If he has a career ending injury under the current contract he gets nothing. A contract with $50M guaranteed is a very nice insurance policy. That is why he would restructure.

What are the odds of him suffering a career ending injury? How often does that happen anymore? I'd say the odds are extremely low. As I said, he has no reason to restructure.

Well he blew out his ACL...so if it that ACL goes again, what are the odds he comes back? If he did, what are the odds of him being great again and getting a gigantic contract? The odds are not "extremely low" This is football. It's violent. People get hurt. You can sit here on a chat board and say the odds are low, but this isn't Madden. This a real man with a real life. Maybe you are a guy that passes on medical insurance and auto insurance because the odds are in your favor...but most people in real life enjoy the sense of comfort that an insurance policy provides. I know that I personally would take a contract that paid $13M/yr with $50M guaranteed over a contract that pays $16M/yr with zero guaranteed. It's a no brainier and I wouldn't even hesitate. Maybe that is just me.

The chances of that ACL going out again are extremely low as well (I work in the medical profession). People do get hurt. But career ending is extremely rare.Paragraph 2 is a bunch of nonsense and crap I'm not getting into. That's your preference to take less. Revis isn't.
