Logan Thomas might be the best TE prospect in this draft. Wish he'd do the catching drills instead of the QB drills.

I think Teddy has a lot more to lose than gain at this point so I could see why he wouldn't, hes arguably the #1 Qb of this draft. If he were to do bad Manziel or Bortles would leapfrog him

I think Bortles already did today. It really has been the Bortles/Evans/Beckham show so far.

I personally think he needs to be taught how to play with leverage the way theyr'e playing him at UCLA, he constantly rushes from a 2 point stance which is less than ideal for run stopping and bullrushing, but what entices me is the athleticism to make tackles look silly.I may be digressing but I feel we need a big athletic speed rusher to contain Newton in the future.

I will be interested to see how he tests.  Good point though, the way he was used at UCLA would have made it harder to demonstrate strength at the point of attack.  I think looking for a speed rusher against a guy like Cam is counter productive.  Barr seems to rely on gaining the corner to pressure the quarterback, which is the last way you want to rush Cam imo.  Obviously it's harder to flat beat NFL LTs with speed then Pac-12 LTs.  Especially when you are playing a qb like Cam.  You can't loop around the end or he'll kill you.  You have to be so disciplined in your speed rush against mobile QBs, so much flatter in your angles.

I think the longer the process drags on the more everyone starts over thinking it. Starts buying into smoke screens and other nonsense. Start getting distracted by things that don't really matter. I think what is important, especially for a QB prospects, is watching him play and see how he wins. Is he throwing 30 bubble screens a game? Is he clutch? Is he going through reads and making lots of downfield NFL passes? Are his receivers wide open? Is he moving around the pocket in a way that translates? Does he show an internal clock? Does he have that spider sense in the pocket? This is the stuff that is important to me. You are right though, not being able to talk to a players college coaches and teammates, or be in personal interviews, does put us fans at a disadvantage. Those interviews probably have a bigger effect on a teams' final board than anything else.

Marquise Lee's 40 time looked a lot faster than a unofficial 4.5.

Very stupid for Bridgewater, Manziel, and Carr to not throw. McCarron, Bortles, and Garoppolo just gained ground today. All did very well. Bridgewater is the worst for not even running. Whoever told him that was a good idea needs to be fired. If he'd have ran a 4.4 today and thrown the ball....he'd probably leave this combine as the consensus #1. Instead he allowed Bortles to impress an even Manziel improves his stock with a good 40. Bridgewater did nothing to help himself this week.

He's not gonna run a 4.4.  That 40 on him won't matter. Bortles 40 sounds like it disappointed folks. Again, these guys aren't runners so no one really cares all that much about their 40 times. Top QBs almost never throw, wrongly IMHO, won't matter a lick.

I realize everyone is obsessed with 40 times, but I'm more interested in the 10 yard split, 3 cone drill, vert, and how they actually catch the ball. I think if you go back and look, you's find that these things are much better predictors than 40 times.

Really all these times are fast so you want to start looking at that 10 yard split to see who is fast off the line. Everyone is gaga about Evana long speed but his 10 yard split wasn't that great for example so he is, as expected, a long strider not a sudden player.
