Ross Tucker on Sirius suggested this morning that the only reason the NFL has "unofficial times" in its combine coverage is to bolster the perception of some players. He pointed to Manziel with and the difference between his "unofficial time" and "official" time. No he is a 6'5" man who is 290 lbs and is faster in every measure than Clayborn for example. Plus, he actually has the longer arms you want from the position...but he s still not a 43 DE. would you out Geno Atkins at DE? There is some positional flexibility in some guys but other are naturals for a spot and aren't gonna be successful anywhere else. Donald is that guy.

We can. As I explained in the Aaron Donald thread, he can be our starting LDE and cause havoc next to McCoy as well as completely shut down the run. He's also the prototypical guy to move inside on passing downs. He's also outstanding depth for the UT position....which is the most important position on our defense. It makes too much sense. That's why we have met with twice already. Some folks on here just can't think outside the box once a guy has been labeled. Truth is, Donald can play anywhere on our line and probably will.
