I agree.Mathews is no Joe Thomas as a prospect, but he could be a helluva lot better than Mr. Sensitive Fatbody Penn.Penn has to go. Sick of that dude. Just a inconsistent, mush mouthed whiner. If he backed up his mouth with his play I could deal with it. But as is, he sort of stinks.

Yeah that has become the answer to every 43 team looking at too small guys. I wish Mack had been at the senior bowl. Dee Ford looked a lot like the guy people want Mack to be.

Mack isn't bad but I think Lovie and staff will want to nab the best available pass rusher at pick #2. Mathews makes a lot of sense and maybe even Watson IMO.
Not a fan of Mack at all small size for a DE and making him play down the field in space mitigates a lot of his skill set. Honestly, he should not even be on our draft board because he doesn't fit what we do.
Exactly. He's not Von Miller, he isnt going to be good in covetage. He's not 265 pounds like Aldon Smith. He doesn't fit at LB and isn't a 3 down DE. These idiots would be glad to draft a situational pass rusher with the no.7 overall pick. Now if you run a 3-4 defense you just plug him right in at OLB. We don't run that defense and that is why he doesn't fit our needs.
Has there ever been 4 QB's taken in the top 5 picks? Ever? I can't honestly say I recall this happening and i don't see it happening this year either.
There are some very QB needy teams up high and the rookie cap makes it much easier to overcome a blunder.
