They can have him. I want Tuck.
Based on what I've been hearing, we're going to like this off-season.... A lot.
and what have you been hearing?
Just a bunch of little things as rumours but all in all, got a good hunch.
Care to share any of it?
Well, as Jason Licht said they are looking for "value". They know they are paying a few elite players a lot of money. (Revis, Jackson, Nicks, McCoy, Goldson) They know they already have a talented core they want to per say complete the circle. They want to get rid of the backups, get rid of some underachieving players and get as many starting caliber players possible, for the right price.According to what I've been hearing the following players are a part of that "core": Doug Martin, Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams, Carl Nicks, Demar Dotson, Gerald McCoy, Lavonte David, Darrelle Revis, Mark Barron, Dashon Goldson. The following are being evaluated, (50% will likely stay): Donald Penn, Davin Joseph, Jeremy Zuttah, Adrian Clayborn, Da'Quan Bowers, Mason Foster, Mike KoenenThe following are seen as "too early to tell": Tim Wright, Mike Glennon, Mike James, Akeem Spence, William Gholston, Johnthan Banks, Steven Means, Bobby RaineyLook for us to have about 30-35 Mill to spend in FA after cuts. It should be spread around like this: 7 Mill, 5 Mill, 4 Mill, 4 Mill, 3 Mill, 3 Mill, 2 Mill, 2 Mill,...

Thanks, that is very interesting to say the least.
Phins extend Brent Grimes
Mack IS available, but we'll have to outbid them... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-franchise-tag-deadlines-ends-with-a-bang-030314
Eugene Monroe also available. Would $8 million per season secure his services?

He could be had for $5 - $6 million.
Jason Peter got a five year $51 million deal.
Monroe is more interesting to me than Albert.
Jared Veldheer and Eugene Monroe didn't get the tag... this is two young blind side protector with pro bowl potential! The Bucs have alot of needs and one of them is to find a future LT... Robinson and Matthews could be gone (Rams, Falcons or Raiders if they cant resign Veldheer) at #7.hope the bucs try hard to sign Veldheer or Monroe... then you can get rid of Penn with nearly no cap loss for the next two years... this could be one of the best offseason move to do!The Browns placed the transition tag on center Alex Mack but they have plenty of cap space to match any offer...Zuttah is an average center but not a liability, just slightly overpaid, imo we should leave one more year with Zuttah, still would like reworking Zuttah's deal, $3-3.5M per year with guaranteed money(see Colts Samson Satele deal, Redskins Will Montgomery or Cardinals Lyle Sendlein).there is alot of good center in this draft but no Mangold/Kalil/Mack potential... would like to wait if Mack sign the one-year transition tag we may have a chance to sign him next year and 2015 class could be better with Hroniss Grasu and some underclassemen (Ryan Kelly, Mike Matthews, Nick Martin...).
I still think Veldheer will return to Oakland. Monroe is an interesting choice, him or Albert with Penn's release would get my sign of approval.
why was monroe traded for peanuts?
Raiders didn't franchise Jared Veldheer. He's my #1 guy.
GT, a couple of reasons;- New regime, maybe had different evaluation for quality/fit- Drafted Luke Joeckel, so long-term he wasn't going to be there, and better something than nothing. - Odd trade dynamics - supposedly Jacksonville didn't shop him, they simply worked with the Ravens on a deal. Browns tried to squeeze in really late and were willing to pay more (but also include a player). That's not conducive to getting good value. Plus, of course, mid season trades of guys going to FA are difficult.
Make a legitimate offer for Mack. Maybe the CF that is the Browns right now will let him go...
