Jdouble,Be fair man. Last year was Bennett's first year that looked like anything other than back up material after being in the league for 3 years of injury and nothing production. It was a gamble to sign him to a long term deal which is why no one would. He signed a one year deal with a team with money to burn, thanks to a franchise level QB who gets paid in cracker jacks. Most people, Dom probably included, thought he was a good player but just not worth the kind of money he wanted.

Most of us wanted to give him a long term $7M/yr deal two years ago to keep him because he was very good. Go pull up the old threads if you want. Dom and Gap Tooth blew it.
