Sporttrac doesn't have numbers for Casillas, Meredith, Fletcher, Cousins, or Dietrich-Smith yet....so done of their cap hits have been deducted from that $14.6M number.

We have about $8M.....and we need $6M to sign the rookie class.Cut Koenen....but we are still just about done. I'd be amazed to see any big Melton type signing at this point.

Spotrac has the bucs at $14,652,042. That's before you add Fletcher to the top 51 and then we're at $12-$13 mil.

I think that's about right . I think we are going to sign a WR still for sure. Won't be a huge contract though .

i kinda hope we dont. theres not really anyone out there worth it tbh. im ok if we bring Underwood back because he'd be cheap and he knows the team. the rest of them arent worth it to me. they'll command more money than the rookie receiver that we need to be drafting

A guy I'd like to see us sign is WR Joe Adams. Panthers drafted him in the 4th round of the 2012 draft. He didn't do much and then they cut him in 2013. He was suppose to be a good character guy with a strong work ethic as a prospect, so I'm not sure why he didn't pan out in Carolina....but he is a quick slot WR type guy and he was an outstanding returner in college. Maybe there is something I don't know about him because nobody has picked him up since the Panthers cut him in August. I know he had two fumbles....but that doesn't seem like a reasonable excuse to give up on a 4th round pick after one year.Anyways, he could be a cheap camp body with potential to actually make the final 53. Yes, there's defnitelly some NFL mysteries as big as the Malaysian airlines triple 7 airliner gone missing . . .

DRC got almost 8 mil per from the Giants.  Wow.  That was always a pipe dream.

Oh, and you guys keep forgetting the several million $ of cap space that will come from cleaning out the bottom of the roster.  We're not keeping 4 TEs.  Crabtree returns 800k, stocker 630k.  Kafka 570k.  There are a bunch of guys at the bottom of the roster who are scheduled to make 570k or 490k who won't be on the final 53.  I don't know what the rookie pool requires, or how much the teams like to hold back for injury situations and in season roster moves.  But we can still easily sign several more mid level players even keeping with the flat contract and no backloading model (which I like).

+1Don't forget Koenen can be tossed and you find a cheaper option.

Jonathan Casillas' contract posted: http://overthecap.com/cap.php?Name=Jonathan%20Casillas&Position=43OLB&Team=Buccaneers One year for the same money he got last season.  500k of the 1.4 mil is guaranteed.  I would have guaranteed his presence on the 53 (barring injury) anyway.  I am good with that.  Kind of interesting that Fletcher got 2 mil and 1.2 guaranteed (allegedly).

Only the top 51 salaries count towards the cap, so most of the filler camp body guys don't really effect anything.

Most definitely.  Should be tossed or renegotiated.  No hurry there I suppose, but if we start bumping up against the cap he will go.

They will have an effect when the guys getting cut are over minimum.  What is the rookie minimum slated to be this season?  Any idea?

WILL be tossed.....only a matter of time . Probably waiting until we get his replacement . Probably a rookie FA or 7th rounder.

Makes sense, and practice squad doesn't count toward a year of tenure?
