Oh, and you guys keep forgetting the several million $ of cap space that will come from cleaning out the bottom of the roster.  We're not keeping 4 TEs.  Crabtree returns 800k, stocker 630k.  Kafka 570k.  There are a bunch of guys at the bottom of the roster who are scheduled to make 570k or 490k who won't be on the final 53.  I don't know what the rookie pool requires, or how much the teams like to hold back for injury situations and in season roster moves.  But we can still easily sign several more mid level players even keeping with the flat contract and no backloading model (which I like).

+1Don't forget Koenen can be tossed and you find a cheaper option.

WILL be tossed.....only a matter of time . Probably waiting until we get his replacement . Probably a rookie FA or 7th rounder.

I doubt it'll be a rookie unless it's a 5th rounder. Lovie has said publicly and has shown historically to have a large emphasis on Special Teams. Won't be surprised at all if Koenen stays, but it'll be a proven punter.

Cowboys agreed to terms with DT Henry Melton, formerly of the Bears.

EDS contract posted: http://overthecap.com/cap.php?Name=Evan%20Dietrich-Smith&Position=C&Team=Buccaneers No guaranteed money past 2014.  More variation season to season then we've seen.  Higher cap number in final year also different.Meredith's posted: http://overthecap.com/cap.php?Name=Jamon%20Meredith&Position=G&Team=Buccaneers Danny Gorrer.  Was his already out? http://overthecap.com/cap.php?Name=Danny%20Gorrer&Position=CB&Team=Buccaneers Still waiting on Cousins and Fletcher, but that's it I believe.  Have to believe Cousins will be vet minimum.

We sure did some great contracts. I was a Dom supporter.....but the contracts we managed to pull off this year makes me see that Dom was garbage.

I agree, but look who Dom was fronting.  It has to be shit tons easier to get deals done when players actually want to play for your head coach.

Dummynik didn't believe in guaranteed money ....which works out only if you have an excessive amount of cap room to overpay with , and the player ends up so horribly useless that he has no trade value and you want to cut him. Where it backfires is it limits how many guys you CAN sign , and the much higher cap number kills all trade value for the player , as we saw.Dude was a dumb ass , plain and simple.

Dom gave out just as much guaranteed money as Licht. He just made a habit of always putting it in the first two years....which is smart. What Dom didn't believe in was signing bonuses. Neither does Licht. The difference is Licht/Greenberg managed to sign all these guys for half of what Dom would have spent. Maybe that is because we have Lovie as HC instead of Raheem or Schiano....or maybe it was because Dom sucked. Who knows. The other big difference is we signed guys that fit. Guys who make sense. Instead of just signing big names.  As usual though, you have no idea what you are talking about.

The contracts were less because we gave more in guarantees. That is the give and take of negotiations in this league.  That's how you get guys for cheaper per season - you guarantee the money. But as usual you have no clue what you are talking about .Also funny how you bring up Greenberg. You didnt even know he existed until I told you. You thought Dom drew up the contracts and Licht would have no way to do it. Remember that conversation , stupid ? Lol

Only contract that didn't have guaranteed money was Revis. You are so full of sh!t. VJax, Nicks, and Goldson got a combined $69M guaranteed from Dom.....while Johnson, Verner, Collins, McDonald, Meyers, and Dietrich-Smith got a combined $53M guaranteed from Licht.....but please, keep rambling on about how Dom didn't give out guaranteed money and Licht does. Idiot.

We are talking amount of Guaranteed money , dimwit. Amount....and not in a vacuum because vjax and nicks are more expensive players to acquire , period But if you want to continue the argument that this years contracts are only cheaper due to magic , not structure , knock yourself out.By the way , you claimed this wouldn't be possible because we had no one who could negotiate. Dom was a contract genius you said.  Licht can't do it you said and Greenberg couldn't either becAuse he simply crunches numbers.Remember when you made that agument , dweeb ? I can pull it up if you like. Lol
