1 - Cleveland Browns
RB Saquan Barkley
Many expect QB here, Browns happen to have pick #5 as well though, and they fully expect their guy (not Rosen) to be available. So why not take the best prospect available - a premier, blue chip RB that can bear the load as their rookie QB learns the system.
2 - New York Giants
QB Josh Rosen
Not much analysis needed here. Eli is on his last legs and there is already talk of him finishing his career in Denver like big brother Peyton. The Giants need a QB and Rosen, while not a slam dunk pick, projects to have more upside than Lamar Jackson.
3 - Indianapolis Colts
DE Bradley Chubb
Much like the Chargers took Bosa #3 overall, the Colts take the DE who is seemingly a misfit in a 3-4 but is talented enough to shatter the mold of the 6'6 380lb 3-4 DE. Chubb is the pick much to the dismay of Tampa Bay fans worldwide.
4 - San Francisco 49ers
S Minkah Fitzpatrick
You had to know John Lynch was going to take the best strong safety in this class. Minkah will be as good as Landon Collins, maybe better.
5 - Cleveland Browns
QB Baker Mayfield
Surprise! The polarizing QB of 2018s draft class lands #5 overall to the Browns. Having already taken Barkle #1 overall, the Browns will rely on the running game and a solid defense to dig themselves out of the AFC cellar.
6 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
G Quenton Nelson
This pick may come as a shock to fans. Most of them wanted Chubb, Barkley or Fitzpatrick. With all three off the board, the best available prospect is G Quenton Nelson from Notre Dame. Billed by experts as 'the next Logan Mankins' Nelson projects as a perennial pro bowl Guard.
