God,it stings because it's true.

And what makes you think the glazers have learned from their mistakes?

Indeed.

He looks like a seasoned Tank Commander.

Cheat motion

McDaniel has taken something from the past and tailored it to the present to make his players better. That's just good coaching. In football, everything has been done before. But from the endless annals of NFL archives, McDaniel plucked this concept and put it into his playbook. And now, Hill might set receiving records.”

Frank Smith or Slowik for me , if Harbaugh stays at Mich

Frank Smith is an interesting pick. Since 2010 has been a position coach (OL) with Payton, Gruden, McVey, and now McDaniel as OC.

Remember when the Glasers got cute and hired a coordinator as head coach ?( Morris/Koetter) How did that work out?

Koetter was a good coach that was sunk by Licht.

I don't like Bowles but I don't think it's a given that he's fired. I actually think he's coming back. Then in 2024 it will all fall apart and Lovie and Licht will be gone.

I agree DK was a good coach, but he wasn't sunk by Licht.  He was sunk by his loyalty to Mike Smith, whose defense allowed more points every year (ranked 15th, 22nd, & 31st in the NFL respectively) he was in Tampa.

And his QB turning the ball over at a historic rate didn't help much either.

Look at the Licht drafts leading up to those seasons...

2014- No defensive players drafted. You're just begging to have a bad defense in the years after.

2015- 1 defensive player drafted. Kwon. Hit and miss.

So in the two years before Koetter is hired there is ONE defensive player drafted!!!

2016- OK now Licht is going defense... Hargraeves and Spence.

How is the defense supposed to be good in the Koetter era when this was who was being drafted?

2017- Justin Evans in round 2... yea that will fix it.

Now 2018 was a great defensive draft and helped us win the Super Bowl but that took time. Vea, Davis and Whitehead weren't going to fix the defense immediately as rookies. Might be blaming Mike Smith for a Licht problem.

One of the many Licht stories is the contract given to Muscle Hamster - despite his apparent drug problem - in order to support Koetter

its that same approach behind the suggestion that it’s very unlikely Licht steps in to force Bowles to start Trask while there is still playoff hope

I actually think the decision to part ways has already been made, regardless the finish.

But, if he’s retained for another year, it’s a clear indicator it’s tank season.

Harbaugh would be an idiot not to go to Chicago.  Look at how Brady put Belichick in the HOF.  Mahomes will put Reed there.  Harbaugh can come in and draft potentially one of the best QBs to come along in a long time.  Then he's got another high pick, their own, to follow that up with.  It's a big media market with a new stadium coming soon.  He played for Ditka, although he wasn't Ditka's favorite.  I wouldn't be surprised if a deal wasn't already in the works.
