I'm usually pretty high on the team, so there will be some sunshine pumping - but I think things are looking great.QB - what more needs to be said? We finally got our guy. He's been better off-field than anyone could have imagined. I know folks liked him, I did too. I just think he's been more than advertised. Bringing Grover to Tampa because other teammates couldn't get up to Chi? Stuff like that is just the tip of the iceberg.RB - I think RB is an overrated position, but I do love me some dougie. He had a tough couple years, but he showed last season that he runs hard. Him complimenting with sims is pretty solid IMO. Didn't have to break the bank, both bring different skill sets. Lots of potential behind them.WR - I don't see the big deal here, but I understand the worry. If we lose our top 4 options again to injury we will see a struggle. But I also don't think you can stack the roster with all-pros to sit the bench either. I am excited to see growth from guys like bell, humphries, dye. Excited to see if guys like reedy or spencer or Mike Thomas can produce. We can use a big investment in 2017, but definitely think we need to really find out what we have this season first.TE - no one is happy with ASJ - but that's simply because most all know he is capable of being really good. Think brate might be that solid find, a Heath Miller type. Nothing special, but gets the job done. Vitale could play a role here, Westbrook could surprise.OL - love the backbone. Watching the taco video was great. Big fan of hawley as well. He ain't special, but he's good to go. He might be a fixture we need. Pamphile is solid at filling a role as jumbo guy and backup. I don't mind EDS, don't think we could find a better backup. Wish benenoch was being prepped for RT, but who knows. Dotson and cherilus aren't longterm, but adequate for now. Think Sweezy will fit in nice.DT - it's a hole right now. But it's also not a toptier position. I think we will find a big body to back up McDonald after the next cuts. We definitely need a plan in case McCoy gets hurt.DE - think we have a pretty good mix right now. We brought in 2 new guys to go with the developmental guys. Spence I think will shine. Ayers will probably not be the guy most fans expect, but he will get some outside and inside rush. Smith can be used more situationally. Gholston situationally, just opposite of smith. Can gholston backup McCoy if needed? Does jones have a place on the roster? A nascar package of smith-McCoy-ayers-jones would certainly bring some speed - and that means spence is getting a breather or simply not thrown full time into the fire. LB - our top 2 is great. Kwon is the fire, David is the steady pro. Smith brings the vet presence. I liked Scooby wright in the draft, but bond is the same guy - just different name. Can he bring some passrush? Plenty of hungry backups for ST and development.CB - love this group. I think they have much more to offer than what we saw the last 2 years. I wouldn't have drafted Hargreaves, but I think he's gonna be real good. Start him in the slot - he's gonna make plays. Let grimes/banks/verner fight for the other 2 spots. Plenty of depth.S - was hoping for a S instead of aguayo, but oh well. Ryan smith could easily be better than any of the "names" I began liking. I'm planning on smith being a true deep safety. Will make our defense run for years to come. Does mcdougald take SS? Does Tandy finally take the reins? Didn't realize how athletic Tandy was. Think we have a lot of coverage guys now. Conte is just holding a place and will soon be depth I think.Expectations will soon shoot through the roof. Would I have rather had a Javon Hargreaves/billings combo over aguayo? You bet. But I'm also not gonna be upset over it either. OTAs and season cannot get here soon enough!
