7 NFL Quarterbacks Most Likely To Have A New Home In 2014 January 24, 2014 8:30 pm Newhome_Zpsee11Ea0F.jpgDuring the 2013 season I wrote an article about which quarterbacks will most likely be on different teams in 2014. Some of the quarterbacks that appeared on that list will appear on this list as well (I'm talking to you, Matt Schaub), but there are some fresh faces that are likely to be headed elsewhere in 2014.With the season ending and the draft approaching, some teams will look to move on from their current signal-callers and try to develop new ones. This year's draft will feature a very deep quarterback class, so there should be a lot of veteran quarterbacks looking for a new team in 2014. Here is who those quarterbacks might be.Newhome1_Zps3Fd5B915.Jpg7. Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles With Nick Foles now the man in Philly, the only way Vick returns to the city of brotherly love is as a backup. And it's not very likely that he would be willing to do that. While he is a bit older and a huge injury risk, Vick can still be a dynamic in the right situation. And given that there isn't much in free agency when it comes to the quarterback position, he might be sought after.Projected destination: New York Jets.Other possible destinations: Browns, Raiders, VikingsNewhome2_Zps8Bbeb6Cd.jpg6. Mark Sanchez, New York JetsThis seemed a little more likely when Geno Smith was playing well, but it is still a very real possibility that Sanchez will be wearing a different uniform in 2014.If they wish to wish to trade him, the Jets will likely have to pay for at least part of his salary in order to find a willing partner.Chances are that Sanchez will get released, but the team will likely look for a trade before that happens. As for what time would want to trade for him, it will likely be a team that's looking to win now with a quarterback that has some postseason experience. Or it might be a team that is interested in having a decent backup.Projected destination: Arizona Cardinals.Other possible destinations: Raiders, Vikings, Titans, Rams, Jaguars, Browns, Texans.Newhome3_Zps4Cf232F3.Jpg5. Sam Bradford, St. Louis RamsThis is the most unlikely of the bunch as the Rams seem to be committed (at least as of now) to Bradford as their quarterback. But things can change.Bradford is set to get paid a ridiculous $17.61 million in 2014, but the Rams don't owe him anymore guaranteed money, so if they release they wouldn't need to pay him.I believe the Rams will keep Bradford so the projected destination is only in the event that they do not keep him.Projected destination: Tennessee Titans.Other possible destinations: Vikings, Browns, Jaguars, Jets.Newhome4_Zps7225E8A8.Jpg4. Josh Freeman, Minnesota VikingsFreeman was the franchise quarterback of the Buccaneers went the 2013 started, but then it all went south. He got off to a terrible start and it got so bad that the Bucs released him a few weeks into the season. The Vikings proceeded to sign Freeman, who couldn't win the job over Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel.Freeman does have a lot to offer if he can get it together. All he needs is a team to gamble on him.Projected destination: Oakland Raiders.Other possible destinations: Jets, Titans, Browns, Jaguars, Eagles.Newhome6_Zpsa2Bc3E61.Jpg3. Kirk Cousins, Washington RedskinsThe Washington Redskins are in a boatload of trouble. Not only were they the second worst team in 2013, they also don't have a first round pick in 2014. But they do have a tradeable asset in Kirk Cousins, and they have to take advantage of that.Washington should have plenty of suitors and they will likely be able to get a second-round pick if they do choose to trade him.Projected destination: Cleveland Browns.Other possible destinations: Vikings, Jets, Jaguars, Raiders, Buccaneers, Titans.Newhome7_Zpsb6Fcdaeb.jpg2. Matt Schaub, Houston TexansThe Texans seem to be headed towards drafting a quarterback with the first overall pick, which would likely spell the end for Schaub in Houston. If the Texans were to release they would have to pay him $3.5 million, but that's a lot less than the $11 million they would pay if they keep him. There is no reason why the Texans shouldn't be able to get at least a decent draft pick if they elect to trade Schaub.Projected destination: Minnesota Vikings.Other possible destinations: Browns, Jets, Titans, Jaguars, Buccaneers, RaidersNewhome8_Zpsc0C8E0Ba.jpg1. Josh McCown, Chicago BearsMcCown recently announced that he had no plans on retiring in 2014, and for good reason. He stands to be the most coveted quarterback on the market this offseason. The 34-year old had an incredible season in 2013, throwing for 1,829 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just one interceptions in 5 starts. He also had a quarterback rating of 109.Any team needing a quarterback that wants to be competing for the playoffs will likely pursue the 11-year veteran.Projected destination: Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Other possible destinations: Vikings, Titans, Browns, Jets. http://www.footballnation.com/content/7-nfl-quarterbacks-most-likely-to-have-new-home-2014/28353/

All Freeman needs is a team to gamble on him? Why does he need a 3rd team to take a chance on him. His chances are over.

Freeman isn't going to any football team without bringing his friend molly. I doubt any team in the nfl will sign him from here on out.

Freeman's agent needs to get him to Cincinnati or San Francisco.

so are you admitting that Freeman is a backup at best?

That's the only thing he could possibly mean.

I could see the Ram dumping Bradford and drafting Bortles or Bridgewater since his guaranteed money is already paid. It's possible.

He would take Dalton's job by the end of September.,maybe even end of training camp. He should have signed with SF in October and would be in position to take that job by Week 1. 49ers will waste another year with Kaepernick and his contract is up after 2014 and he'll want $100M.

Put the pipe down son. No way in hell could Freeman beat Kap. You think Harbaugh will turn his Super Bowl contending roster to that pill head?

Freeman beating out Kaepernick? Bwa ha ha ha ha! Dalton?  Maybe. But Kap? No way in the world. SF is going to make him their franchise QB with a huge deal no doubt. People don't realize how many weapons they lost last year. Kap took them to the NFC Championship game. This was a great year for him despite not having enough weapons. But I am sure you can pull a Delores and find some stat to explain why Freeman is better than Kap. This year's draft i can see them moving up for a CB and WR in the first two rounds. Two major weaknesses for that team. Maybe they draft a OG as well. They need a swing guard.

Freeman wouldn't even beat out Dalton....and Dalton is nothing more than an average QB.

Maybe they could also bring in Luke McCown to replace Kap
