Heard about it on "the herd" this morning. I looked it up and sure enough. JFF has played LSU twice and has posted the following numbers.2012: 51% completion, 0 TD and 3 INTs for a passer rating of 82 (almost 75 points below season average)2013: 39% completion, 1 TD and 2 INTs for a passer rating of 83 (almost 110 points below seasons ave)So just two bad games right? Can happen to anyone right? Well apparently LSU had 6 of their starters drafted last year, all on defense. Now correct me if I'm wrong, they again, have a very talented defensive roster. So JFF struggles with a defense who has 6 NFL caliber guys on it, how is he going to do with he faces a defense with 11? I am fully and 100% off JFF. I was unsure before if i was buying into his game, now I'm sure that I am not.

I remember reading a story about Brady Quinn leading up to the draft that year, comparing his stats vs crap teams and quality teams. His stats against quality teams were pretty horrible, and as we all know he turned out to be equally as horrible as an NFL QB. I don't know if the same holds true for Manziel (I'm sure one of his groupies will be along shortly to support him), but as I've stated before I really hope we don't draft this guy.

And then you turn around and look at another elite defense that gets players drafted like crazy in Alabama and Manziel happens to tear them a new one in both games he played against them so I fail to see your point.OP, good job ignoring other games and stats to get your point across.

Manziel may end up being a bad NFL QB, but bad games happen and most of the time they happen against the best teams you face. Cam Newton had his worst passing game of 2010 also against LSU where he went 10-16 for 86 yards and no TDs. Peyton Manning had his worst games against Florida every year. There may be something to it, but you have to look deeper than to just say Manziel can't beat LSU.

That is the same argument used against Carr.  That is very dangerous way to evaluate players because you have to evaluate the supporting cast.  In Carr's case he doesn't really have anyone NFL bound while Manziel has a few.  Does that mean Carr is supremely better than Manziel? I don't think that is logically sound.

I'm a bit leery of JFF.  He seems like he could be a Garcia type player or he could horribly horribly bust.

Well I do agree that Alabama's defense is elite, however their defense is built differently than LSU. Bama's front 7 are elite at the college level while their secondary proved to be a weakness and get exposed in their two losses at the end of the year. LSU on the other hand has a better secondary that was able to take away the jump ball to Evans. He had 4 catches for 51 against LSU and 7 for almost 300 against Alabama. Wide open receivers, JFF looks like an allstar. Not so wide open receivers and he doesn't. That is the point. Not so cherry picked it is?

He might of played well against Alabama on paper but even watching the game this year he seemed to struggle in the second half and wasn't making the throws a good quarterback should make.
