Hopefully Banks can make a huge jump this year. Cover 2 suits him.

Flowers had a rough year but he's a very good player that would be a good fit here and is young enough to stick around.  Definitely worth a look.Remaining contract per rotoworld:2014: $5.25 million (+ $2 million reporting bonus), 2015: $6.25 million (+ $2 million reporting bonus), 2016: $6.5 million (+ $2 million reporting bonus)

All that matters is the cap hit, and Flowers' is $10.5M next year, $11.5M in 2015, and $10M in 2016. Noway we can do that when one of our CBs already makes $16M per year. Not happening. Zero chance.

That wouldn't be the Bucs' cap hit because the Bucs wouldn't be on the hook for the signing bonus that has already been paid.

You are correct. So his cap hit would actually be...2014 - $7.5M2015 - $8.5M2016 - $8.7MStill way too expensive. If we sign a FA CB it has to be for $5M/yr or less. Also, not sure the Chiefs really will want to trade Flowers. If they do, they get hit with the remaining $7M cap hit of his signing bonus all at once. That would be pretty sh!tty for them.

I think he will be just fine.  Would love an upgrade to the nickle guy, but have very little worries about Banks

I know it's very unlikely but I'm just throwing the question out there, would you trade Revis to the Chiefs for Flowers and say the 2nd rounder?

I don't think I would, but if the new regime pulled the trigger on that...I could at least get behind it.

The author is an idiot. Cousins (1-3 as a starter) has a "winning record." Ok. And what alternative universe does this guy live in that Gavin Escobar is ready to fill in for Witten?

I'd take 33 year old Andre Johnson over 31 year old Vincent Jackson. Maybe we can do a straight up trade and send them a late pick.

Escobar could fill in for Puke Stocker, he can not fill in for Jason Witten.

Absolutely. Flowers at $8M + an extra 2nd round pick....beats the hell out of a $16M Revis.

Not sure if you're serious.....2013 16 games played, 109 catches, 1407 yards....if that's what an unhealthy AJ can do, sign me up. Especially with everyone saying Houston has no QB

You can't be serious about trading V-Jax and a late pick for Andre Johnson though.... you just can't

Why trade for a 33 year old high-performing WR when you have a 31-year old high performing WR?
