I think Tillman gets a lot of attention because of his connection with Lovie, and I have been a huge fan of Tillman for years....but we are talking about a 33 year old guy that is coming off a major injury that put him on IR. I just don't think it's the right fit unless he comes very cheap.I would much rather see us sign Verner or Shields. I don't expect us to be anywhere near as aggressive as we were in 2012 and 2013 though. Maybe one tier one guy, and few tier two guys, and then a whole mess of tier three guys to replace Schiano's garbage can depth he left us.
I think the depth problem was because of Dummynik . It was a problem under Heemy too. Dummynik simply had no clue on how to put together a complete and cohesive team . 1st his strategy was too only use the draft and completely ignore free agency altogether. Then his strategy suddenly became to only sign and overpay for star players. He never had any plan for developing a complete team that works well together , along with quality depth to develop in the wings. For instance . We already have a great SS in Barron , so why sign another SS with the same skill set ( Goldson) but older , less discplined, and on the decline ? How he fit with the rest of the team simply didn't make sense. Then after , that signing , we just stopped.....we did nothing else. Made no sense.Schiano actually helped our depth somewhat .... finding guys like Tim Wright was all him .
I disagree. When we had Stroughter, Briscoe, Spurlock, and Parker.....our WR corps was 10x better than it was under Schiano. Dom also found guys like Grimm, Blount, Lorig, and Demar Dotson. We went 10-6 in 2010 with 10 starters on IR. Our depth was solid under Rah. With Schiano he filled the roster with Rutgers and Mountain West guys and they all suck. We had chances to improve our roster with guys Dom brought in, but Schiano decided they weren't Schiano men....talking about Wallace Gillberry, Michael Bennett, and George Selvie.I'm glad we have Lonnie Pryor and Bobby Rainey....but that is about it. The bottom half of this roster is poo.
Strougher and Briscoe suck worse than Underwood. Spurlock was only good in special teams. Where are those guys in the league now ?Dummynik's answer to add depth was Kevin Ogletree , who lost his job to Schiano's Rutgers boy..and rightly so. What does that say about Dummynik ?

Underwood and Wright have been decent also. Tandy.
That's my point ... as meh as Underwood is , he's still better than Briscoe , Stroughter , Spurlock , and Ogletree - all Dummynik guys.

Agree, but if they draft a WR early, that could be the end of the road for Underwood.
Underwood is garbage. He is not better than any of those guys outside of Ogletree.
I don't think he'll sign any of these guys.
Who will he sign then?
Lol at those guys being better than Underwood. The stats say differently. In fact the only one still on an NFL roster is Briscoe and he's at the bottom of a terrible teams' depth chart.

You could same the same about Underwood.

Underwood gets on the field... That's more than Briscoe could say. He's still learning NFL defenses by playing Madden. When he masters the All-Madden difficulty level watch out because he's going to break out.
The same can not be said.Underwood was the starting slot wr on a terrible team.Underwood had 440 yards and 4 tds this this year. Those other guys didnt have that combined. Lol
Btw : you can add Preston Parker to that list. Zero yards this season.

They didn't make up a stat for that crazy ass hair he was rocking last year?
Lol. Underwood still beats him in haircut category.

My point is, if they draft a WR or sign one, its bye bye Underwood. And Leonard is in the same situation. If they bring in Tillman, or draft a CB, I think Leonard is gone.
