On the NFL Network now.Marty should have been the coach here. I guarantee we would have had a winning record these past two years (and more than likely in the playoffs this year). Not hiring Marty was a decision that will haunt this organization for years.Think Greggy will ever get a documentary made about his NFL career?

Gawd, it's so incredible what an amazing coach he is and how different he is than Schiano. So sad that his last season in the NFL was with a 14-2 record. Fired one month after the end of the season. Crazy.

"I guarantee we would have had a winning record these past two years (and more than likely in the playoffs this year)."I know, man, guaranteed!  Marty was the boss. It was simply amazing how he took the SD Chargers with Brees, Tomlinson, and Gates and immediately out of the gate went  8-8 and 4-12. Marty was money.  Wait, whaaaatttttt? 4-12, 12-20 in his first two years. That's got to be a misprint.Marty is Guaranteed, Money in the bank. Book it!

14-2 DUMBASS. He was 14-2 his last season. He was fired because he didn't get along with the new GM, AJ Smith who's a complete **CENSORED**bag.Feel like a complete retard now, DeadMen?

See where name calling gets you? He said out of the gate, meaning his first few seasons there. (2002/2003) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Schottenheimer No need for dumbass and retard comments but I'm sure that's how you might be feeling now.

No, not at all. I didn't guarantee anything. Did the Chargers not get the "Guaranteed" version of Marty in his FIRST two years?Hint, there are no guarantees.

Not at all. Talking about 1/2 of the body of work is just stupid. What's the point? His post made no sense.

There are no guarantees, Except to guarantee that Marty is a billion times the coach Schiano is or will ever be.We would be a much, much better off if Marty were here instead of Schiano.

How do you figure? I'm talking about his entire body of work. The guy had what? 3 or 4 losing seasons? How is that only talking about half of his body of work?My quote was that it was crazy he went 14-2 his last season and got fired for it.

Well you have only repeatedly talked about 14-2 and referred to those two seasons as "1/2 the body of work" so one can assume you're only speaking of the charger days. That's how.But yes it is crazy he was fired after going 14-2. I was shocked when it happened.

I have only "repeatedly talked about it" in referring back to the first post and because others (including you) keep bringing it up. I was a Chiefs Season Ticket Holder in the 90s and saw week in and week out what an amazing coach he was. I couldn't give a spit about his record in SD. It only goes to reinforce what a great coach he is.His entire body of work is amazing including his many 13-3 and 12-4 seasons.
