Nobody compared Schiano to Schottenheimer. Point was an experienced coach "with over 200 wins" saw his team regress from 8 wins in year 1 to 4 wins in year 2. Nobody has any idea if Schiano can turn it around in year 3 regardless of how many times you two clowns pretend you do.
It's sad, but Schotty's window for the Bucs has probably passed......One thing for sure, Marty wouldn't have had an 0-8 dumpster fire in Year 2.
Nah, just 0-5. Wonder if he had a mrsa outbreak and a "franchise" qb quit on the team?
Take issue with it all you want vc.Fact is, marty won, schiano has not. That's not arguable, that's fact. Unless you have some form of a time machine laying about somewhere?Seriously, schiano has more talent playing for him on defense alone, than most coaches on their entire team.We can analyze the two weak starting terms all we want, even the talent level of each team, but that doesn't change what IS.

Well, whoever said schiano doesn't need another year understands football.

Three lines of defense, and an elite on each level.Cmon man. You're trying to defend your broham too hard.

Going with this, then your theory is that "most" coaches do not have 3 "elite" players on their entire team. Keep 'em coming

The Texans have more talent than the Bucs IMO.

Schiano has won though... 11 games by my last count. So to say that he can't win, or never will win in this league is your opinion. My opinion is that 2 years does not an NFL head coaches career make... Marty had tremendous regular season success, can't deny that. But I think it's foolish to overlook his underwhelming record in the postseason just based on regular season success. I have no qualms with Schiano getting a third year as HC because I choose to stay positive about things I can't control. Pittsburgh gave "The Chin" a loooooong time to get things figured out, and that patience eventually paid off. Wish more teams in this league used the same model. Rex Ryan was the NFL's darling a few years back, now he's on the verge of getting the boot. Atlanta's looking at their first losing season since Mike Smith arrived, and yet fans are screaming for his head too lol. No patience, and it always seems the grass is greener on the other side with fans.

The Chin never needed a "loooooooong time" to figure things out, they won 64 games his first 6 seasons, made the playoffs all 6 years, 3 conference title games and a Super Bowl. The guy had 3 losing seasons in 15 seasons. If we were getting those types of results I think the entire fan base, the media and the Glazers would have more patience.
The chin took a long time? He was 11-5 his first season and went to the playoffs in every one of his 1st six seasons. Finished 1st in their division 5 of his first 6 years. Went to a freaking Super Bowl in year four.Wtf r u talkin' bout?
