Problem with that Gametime is there will be players with the same or higher grades at positions of bigger need at 7.
i dont think there is a position of need greater than pass rush. Especially when value is added to the equation.

That's a good point. Our pass rush has been awful for as long as I can remember. Does Donald really improve the pass rush that much to take him at 7?

Well that is the question. If you are a believer that he would only play NT and NT isn't important and doesn't get many chances to pressure.....then no. Probably not.If you believe he is the best pass rusher in the draft and can play anywhere on the line.....then yes. He would most definitely be worth it. If L&L believe the latter, I don't think they will pass him up despite our immediate needs at OG and WR.

i hope OG isn't in the discussion at 7. As for WR, 3 of the top 4 teams last season had squat at WR. The record breaking eagles offense wasn't stacked at WR. It's not as necessary as pass rush imo.

Probably not....but you just never know. If they like Gabe Jackson as much as I do, they could just take him at #7 and shock everyone.

i just don't see the value in it. I hope we have learned that lesson, and actually don't think there is any chance L&L waste that pick on a 'lesser' position.
....says the guy who wants to draft nose guard. LMAO...

Well there has been lots of talk over the last few drafts about whether OG is catching up to OT in importance. Not sure I buy into it, but that is one philosophy that is out there. You just never know until you know.

where you see NG, I see pass rusher.

until all the analysts are mocking OGs in the top 10 I'm not believing the hype.
With all these hybrid players nowadays you can't really define some of them to one certain position. I feel as though Donald is one of those players as well as Mack. They can play multiple positions and to some of us that seems like a negative but to some coaches that is a huge plus. I guess it all depends on what Lovie thinks and how creative he can be.

Where you see OG , others see pass protecter.

Well Cooper and Warmack both went top 10 last year. Could be a fluke, or could be the beginning of a trend. Probably too much talent at skill positions for a guard to go top 10 this year though.

true. Not sure either guy made an impact though.
