Hell yeah I got a man crush. This guy is the best pass rusher in this draft and he fits Lovie's defense perfectly. Why wouldn't I be in love with him? Better question is how/why are you not?
I would love to get Aaron Donald in the 1st, and Kyle Van Noy in the second. Front 7 would be up there with Carolina's and San Fran.
I think I have fully jumped on the Aaron Donald bandwagon. I feel like he might be the only player left when we pick that I would be excited about and have almost no hesitation. WRs are risky that high, all of these QBs have pretty big flaws, and Clowney, Mack, and Robinson are all going to be gone. I grew up watching a Bucs team that was great because of their pass rush, and I feel like when you take what we already have into consideration, almost all of the resources we have should go towards making the D line dominant again. I also really think he might be the pick considering Lovie's prior comments about judging defensive lineman almost entirely by whether or not they can rush the passer.
really hope this dude is our first round pick
Warming to the idea. Wouldn't be my first choice, but I would be excited about him.
I really liked him before the Senior Bowl practices and then when I saw him make all the OLs his Bi****s during the practices I was ALL IN to having him as the Bucs first pick. Trading down and getting an extra pick or two would be ideal, but I wouldn 't want to lose him trying to do that. L&L make it happen!!!!!!!
Can we all just agree that the guy is a beast, but his position is nicely filled? and drafting him requires moving him out of his natural position, and may hinder his abilities?Maybe not.I love the kid, and would not mind if the Bucs doubled up on the DTs. Donald and Mac, with MJ and whoever else...that is a decent front four on third and long.

I don't think Donald has a "natural position". He proved he's the most versatile DL in the draft at Pitt. He'd be insurance for McCoy, a top shelf backup plan for NT and LE, and in the mean time he'll grab 7 or 8 sacks as a 3rd down rusher. More importantly, I think he's definitely the 7th best (if not better) player in this draft.
So if we draft him, our three top DTs will be McCoy, Donald, and McDonald.......
Here's another good article about him. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/futures/2014/futures-pittsburgh-dt-aaron-donald
37 pages on a guy we have a 10% chance in drafting. Love this place.
10% huh? Got a link? lol
I was curious how he arrived at 10% also.
Pulled it out of my ass...If we look at holes in the roster... DT is pretty far down that list. I think AD will be a superstar, but he also reminds me of Trevor Laws when he was coming out. (wanted him too)
