Donald will make a great 3 tech for someone. We have a 3 tech. NEXT !

You sound like Gruden when he couldn't figure out how to play Galloway and Antonio Bryant at the same time because they both played the X receiver. You continually throw around words like Under front and 3 technique like you understand what you're talking about but it's obvious you don't. Under is just one alignment and 3-tech is simply one position where a player can line up. Do you really think we can only use one alignment? Do you think McCoy ALWAYS lines up in the B gap? Do you think we run 43 Under on every 3rd down? Do you think they're aren't some hybrid looks in Lovie's playbook? Do you think the NFL will fine us if they find out we have two pass rushing DTs out there at the same time? God help you if we draft Khalil Mack. You'll lose your mind if you see him put his hand in the dirt WHEN WE ALREADY HAVE A RIGHT END MICHAEL JOHNSON. Where will Johnson line up then?!? If we draft Mack we ought to try and get some picks for Johnson while he's still young....

In an ideal world, Allan Donald, Johnny Manziel, Mike Evans, Jake Matthews, Jadeveon Clowney would all be in a Bucs uniform next year. Heck Sammy Watkins would line up in the slot with Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson on the outside giving defenses coverage nightmares. But the reality is we can only pick one player in the first round, and given our roster, the more obvious choices are WR, LT, and QB. I don't know which way we will go, but I hope we draft an Aggie (Evans, Manziel, Matthews) to erase memories of the last Aggie we let slip away. Sigh!

I was actually referring to Michael Bennett. Letting him walk when we could have signed him on the cheap and trading for Revis were probably the dumbest decisions made by the FO in the last few years.

I disagree.  The guy wasn't and isn't a game changer.  He was in for a big pay day if we wanted to keep him.Instead, he got a crap "prove it" contract from the Seahawks, played with a chip on his shoulder, had a few flashes while surrounded by all-pros and now he's riding the wave

Yeah, I can agree that he was no All-pro. My assessment of this being a bad decision was based on what we had left on the roster once he left....unproven guys and very little depth. Look at the way Lovie/Licht are managing this...sign Collins, let Penn walk, sign Verner, cut Revis loose. I just did not see that foresight in Dominik. Hope you get where I'm coming from.

Bennett was by far the best DL on the Hawks last year ... not really a close second either. I thought he was talking about Karl the truth Williams.

So why aren't there other players who are great interior defenders that are 6' 0" 285 lbs? It's not common. If that's how one great player every 10 years is, why aren't there more? You guys can have your man rushes all you want and I'm not saying Donald sucks, but he's going against the grain. That's a fact. People in basketball refer to the Charles Barkley rule. Yes there's one hall of fame power forward rebounding machine who was 6'4" but do you want to be the guy who tried to find the next one?

I disagree with this. Aaron Donald ran a sub 4.7 40. Just like JDub has said ... that IS the prototype if you compare him to the greatest 3 techs of all time. As to your question ... why arent there more 6' 285 great interior defenders? Because guys with this skill set only come around once every 20 years or so. There is no list of 6' 285 pound guys who run a sub 4.7 40 who have busted. Thats because they only come around once every 20 years. The only way you could possibly be so far off in your analysis is if you are lumping him in with ALL the other 6' 285 pound guys who come out and run a 4.95 40 and dont have his elite measurables.

You sound like Gruden , the last coach and only to win a Superbowl in Tampa bay.

Thanks , bro. That's a sincere compliment.

I'd honestly prefer Donald to us going O-Line. It wouldnt' surprise me if we went ahead and drafted him because he's going to be disruptive and he's so versatile. However... If we do take him we absolutely HAVE to address WR in round 2 and then G in round 3. IMO :D
