The “right coordinator” will be the one who is highly inexperienced and would never be able to threaten Bowles’ job. Expect bargain basement quality I.e. the guy from the Bengals. Never called a play, never ran an offense, never game planned. Yep, he’s our guy. Bowles would NEVER hire Monken. Too much of a threat because he is outstanding at what he does. The Bucs will rue the day they kept Bowles.
Man, lol. That may be the result because of the circumstances, but why smear Bowles?
With each wasted passing day, the Bucs languish trying to find someone, anyone who is not a threat to Bowles' job. Also, we are inundated with stupid euphemisms, "Getting it right seems more important than getting it done quickly": "Due diligence"; blah blah blah...Bowles will opt for a coach with no NFL play calling experience, no leadership of an offense, nothing so the new OC looks incompetent...just like he is.

Yes this has disaster all over it, The bucs should have fired the whole staff! This was a bad decision, in hindsight they should have kept leftwich and company and let the sink ship. Now it gets messy and buys "the bowles excuse machine" more time. Gabbert and Trask will be starting over just like any vet qb we bring in. The OC will probably be a young up and comer 1st time as OC. This is going to get real messy and prolong the inevitable that bowles needs to go. Bowles took over a team with the smoothest of transitions and could barely win a game. Before season even with worst case scenario projections I am sure I remember 11-6 as peoples worst projection and 2nd round of playoffs. It's disgraceful that he is allowed to be the coach.
And B Arians needs to go too. He is the reason the ship is sinking. He will back his temple guy, bowles, to the end. At this point BA is just poison/ fuel to the fire
PR.com seems to give Leftwich no credit for 2020 and all the blame for an injury-plagued 2022. The line's failure to pass protect or run block was why they were as bad - and no OC could have fixed that when you're best players leave, retire, or are injured. Didn't other teams interview him for their HC job (Jags) after the Bucs previous twoc successful seasons before 2022-23?

Arians was over his shoulder in other years. Also, in 2020, they could just beat teams with superior players at every position, and didn't have to be creative. Good coordinators know how to scheme guys open, Lefty does not. Good coordinators know how to scheme the running game so they can average more than 3 yards a carry, Lefty does not. Good coordinators know how to mix the run and pass to keep defenses off balance, Lefty does not. Good coordinators build games plans to exploit a defense's weaknesses, Lefty did not. Don't take my word for it. It what a ton of knowledgable football analysts have said repeatedly. Notice how many NFL interviews Lefty received after being fired? I think it's one -- in Baltimore -- and he's not getting that job.
Good coordinators don't need to be defensive and constantly deflect criticism when doing press conferences. An intelligent coordinator can explain why something isn't working, why certain decisions are made, why a gameplan went a certain way. Not Leftwich.
The guy is ill-suited to a coordinator role. Perhaps more experience working in some other offenses will help him develop. Remedial English and communications classes might also help.
Arians didn't do the play calling - gave his input. Leftwich did all that. Brady had great seasons 2020, 2021. But the the crappy OL and no TE and a crappy #3, #4 WR, the team stunk - no OC could fix that garbage. Licht put that squad together. He brought injury prone Julio Jones here. He brought Kyle Rudolph here. You "fans" seem to throw players, coaches under the bus - no loyalty. The dude helped you win a SB.
There was a story when Arians was here that he and Brady were at odds with each other because Arians was overwriting games plans formed by Brady AND LEFTWICH lol
A grain of truth in many stories but most of this stuff is fans coping with an outcome that didn't meet their own expectations. It can't be that this really was not a SB contender, it has to be that the coaches messed up an otherwise SB talented team . .
and yet . . right from the pages of PR today comes this:
"Bucs Land 2 In PFF’s Top 10 Free Agents"
"Mo other Buccaneer made the list. Tampa Bay has defensive backs Mike Edwards, Logan Ryan, Keanu Neal and Sean Murphy-Bunting hitting free agency, as well as outside linebackers Anthony Nelson and Carl Nassib. But none were able to crack the rankings."

Maybe the Bucs had a woeful 2022 season because both the players and coaches were bad. Might as well put Licht in the bad category while you are at it.

Your vacation didn’t make you any smarter, murse.

And, based on Lefty's career as an OC...it was quite apparent that he absolutely NEEDED that crutch.
He's been an OC for 5 seasons now. 3 of them he had Bruce holding his hand. The other 2 seasons, he didn't. Guess which 2 season were the ones where his offenses were ranked near dead last in a majority of offensive categories.
There's a reason he's not a hot commodity right now, and is begging for a job at Notre Dame (and will most likely have to settle for a QB coach job somewhere).
But the the crappy OL and no TE and a crappy #3, #4 WR, the team stunk - no OC could fix that garbage.
Good OC's have done more with less.
Hell, a good OC would've averaged at least 24 points a game with this offensive roster.
You "fans" seem to throw players, coaches under the bus - no loyalty. The dude helped you win a SB.
Aren't you the same "fan" telling everyone in other threads that this is a business? We need to move guys like LVD and Evans? Forget players finishing their careers here, because we need to blow up the cap? You know, guys who won us the SB.
Is that the loyalty you speak of?

agreed
Lefty was very predictable which is fine if you have superior talent at multiple positions. It is the old Dungy we just executed better which is easy when you have superior talent. Executing better doesn't hold weight when you have inferior talent or on par talent which is why scheming and play call rhythm is vital. That is where Lefty failed so I can understand the circumstances on offense were tough, but not that tough compared to other teams. For example the teams in the NFC South faced worse situations on their respective offensive units. Bucs still were far away the best offensive unit in the division and Lefty couldn't deliver.
It was clear that BL couldn't scheme his way out of a wet paper sack. Teams knew what we were doing most of the time. Unlike the last two years, we didn't have the talent to outmatch everyone to the extent that we could before. We saw this offense kind of tank after AB and Godwin were gone in 2021. A good OC will scheme guys open and will come up with a better running game than BL did.
And as to the stupidity of "nobody wants this job" I don't know what to say other than most people simply won't interview for a job they don't want. I've never interviewed for one I don't want, because I don't want to waste everyone's time, nor mine. I can guarantee Pitcher wants it, since he did a second interview and did it in person. Working with a young QB that was lights out in the SEC appeals to a lot of coaches. Pitcher has already done it once with Burrow, and he may get the shot to do it again with the guy that was hot on his heels in the record books.
