I have stated before, he would be good insurance if Glennon was to get seriously hurt. Or Glennon goes all Josh Freeman on us next season. But a top 5 pick? No way. I am sayin if he slides down the draft board and is sitting there in the mid rounds.
If we were picking up a late round QB for insurance I'd rather go for JImmy Garropolo. He sucks but he has the best release I've ever seen. That's something that you can build around.

I'd love to end up with AJ but he is going to go wayyyy to early for us to consider it. He'll be a 2nd round guy, that a team could fall in love with in the late 1st after his interviews, senior bowl and work outs. We have bigger needs to spend draft picks on, unless it is a surefire, franchise QB.

I agree. The way I see it, there is no clear cut pocket passing ace like Manning or Brady in this draft, so if we aren't taking a guy that has mobility to add a different aspect to our offense, then don't take anyone. We already have a game manager that can sit in the pocket and be average. No need to use a draft pick on another QB that does the same exact thing. Just sign an Orton or a Grossman or a Campbell or a McCown to be the back up, let Glennon fail as the starter, then draft a real QB in 2015 and let Glennon be the back up.
