I think it's time to change your sig line , Goldson ....a little outdated , lol.
On the bright side, hey Spence. If you get thrown out of the NFL you would still have enough money to help finance a grow op in Colorado. It's super easy to get a medical marijuana card there too. Huge money in weed. Believe it or not I once knew a grower who had a big op of 40 plants that netted 3 ponds each at $5k per. That's $15k x40 every 10 weeks. Tax free. Do the math. Weed growers would make more money in their lifetime than football players if it weren't for the fact that they usually end up in jail. Like my friend did.

The next trend will be NFL players buying up off season properties in Colorado and Washington. If he had been pulled over in Colorado, no issue. Also, why did he allow them to search the car? Did he willingly give up his rights? Or is 100 mph reasonable cause? Rule no.1 if you are carrying weed is do not allow a search!!!!!!!
You can refuse a search but they will bring out the K9 to sniff. Either way you're buc'd. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-WMn_zHCVo
The only reason for them to have brought out the K9 is if he refused the search or they smelled the weed. You guys are making this way more in depth and philosophical than it needs to be. Remove the name from it. Say it was a buddy of yours that got popped driving over 100mph with weed in the car and now might have a big pile of trouble with their job because of it. It has nothing to do with race, religion, lifestyle choices or anything else. He is just a dumbass.

Good points. I don't see the big deal. And that comes from a non-smoker.

Not if you have a good lawyer.Bringing a K9 unit in is still an unreasonable search unless they have a reasonable suspicion that you are carrying drugs. Something lost on today's youth. You still have rights until you give them away. It's your call. The last time I was asked if they could search, I said, no I'm not comfortable with you searching through my private property. That was it. Dude walked back to his car all dejected. They hate it when you exercise your rights...99% of the idiots out there just let them search.

I would be too paranoid. I could never do it.But a grower who is making $50-$60k a week doesn't give two craps about a $1500 electricity bill. lolz.My point was more that Spence could bank roll this type of thing and let someone else deal with the headaches....and probably make more money long term than a six year NFL career would provide.

Did you watch the video?
Yeah, his first mistake was pulling over. What he should have said is that if I'm not being detained I am going to leave. Am I being detained, or not? Those dickhead cops trampled all over his rights. Any lawyer worth his salt could have gotten the kid off had he been busted.
