Thinking about what to evaluate this week and I don't feel like there is much to uncover or analyze/evaluate about what went right and who played well. I feel like its better to "treat this one as a loss (in terms of tape evaluation)" because the mystery of this game lies within that vantage.
Sometimes you have to win when you play badly...we did that tonight. But I'm curious about the breakdowns and poor play that allowed this game to emerge the way it did.
We had a lot of misses in the Passing Game, we had some breakdowns in the Running Game, we had some indecisive RB play and a key Giveaway by a RB, we had the inability to convert on 3rd down in key situations on both sides of the ball, we had some brutal coverage on the backend and some missed tackles, the lack of iDL push with Vea's loss was extremely noticeable in the broadcast, we had some questionable play-calling on both sides of the ball.
So I'm going to examine what went wrong...and yes, I'm going to look at why Mickens got so many Targets and why Mike's Targets are still down (I have a hypothesis about it in this particular game, but we'll see what the tape says).
