Trask is apparently neck and neck with Mayfield?
Richardson has looked good in camp for Colts...
Florida QBs heard me talking shit...
Or is this just classic camp hype that never translates to the field?
I never understood the negativity about Trask. However, I am as surprised as anyone about the news coming out of Indy--based on his play in college.

Manufactured based on where he went to school.
Great to see him outperforming Baker in camp.
Also like seeing the lasers he’s throwing as well. Showing off serious velocity on some of these throws (another fabricated “knock” on him).
1) negatively is that it was a stupid pick. We just won the Superbowl and in hindsight as we went 13-4 in an injury riddled 2021 season; could have used impact depth in our repeat run
with all the injuries perhaps we win an extra game with an impact player in 2nd round and go 14-3 and get a first round bye. if i recall, we lost 2 questionable games to Saints and Redskins which could have went the other way.
we get a first round bye and Wirfs doesnt get injured in first round against Eagles. We have Wirfs, does he help us beat Rams in the next round in a game we lost by 3 points?
so yeah, the negatively is more on our front office making a stupid pick
2) in terms of Trask the player, when you look at franchise changing QBs - in todays NFL, they tend to be first round picks
look at this list - Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Lawrence, Hurts, Prescott, Rodgers, Jackson, Stafford
8 of the 10 are first round picks with Hurts and Prescott being non first round picks.
All this means are that odds are against him to turn into the franchise changing QB we need
3) In terms of Trask the player, in his second year in the league, he couldnt beat out Gabbert for the 2nd spot? Some say this was Brady wanting a veteran but i dont know, that just appears to be convenient speculation; the eyeball test will tell you that Gabbert was better QB. So what does this mean?
if Trask wins the job than great. let's see what hes got; but i'd be surprised. Why would all the players seem to be talking glowing of Mayfield if he was performing so badly in camp. They wouldn't have a dog in the race.
i would take what the coaches say at this point with a grain of salt. again, who starts preseason game 1 is likely the starter unless one or the other plays heads and shoulders above the alternative.
Either way I'm trying to decide if this is a puff piece statement or legit.
If Trask is neck and neck is that a function of Baker playing poorly and Trask improving?
that just appears to be convenient speculation;
Talk about speculation!! Your whole post is speculation.
One of the weirdest aspects of fandom: hating on a player because you don’t like the pick.
hate the GM

if directed at me, i personally don't hate Trask; i just dont believe in him; so much that i think Mayfield is much better QB
also, to be fair, only footage i watch is the tampa bay buccaneers official twitter where they are showing 80-20% ratio of #6 to #2 throws; tell them to be more fair to Trask
