I am seeing a lot of mock drafts lately for the Bucs taking two RB's in a single draft or even two WR's.
Currently under contract at RB the Bucs have:
Martin
C.Sims
Barber
Hansbrough
Hicks
B.Sims
Koetter thinks highly of these top four RB's listed, and values continuity in his offensive system if players are of similar caliber. And I think the Bucs FO would like to bring back Rodgers which is a reasonable assumption. So, that only leaves one spot for a drafted RB and that drafted RB would displace Martin on the roster. That is assuming the Bucs draft at least one RB and cut Martin.
Next, you have the WR position where the Bucs have these players returning under contract:
Evans
Humphries
Huff
Walker
Dye
Martino
Bucs would like to re-sign Sheppard as well. So the rest of the list is a bunch of ST/depth players with the exception of Humphries and Evans.
Bucs at most are going to spend one pick at the WR position and that is to plug in a starter opposite of Evans. If not, then that means they filled the void in FA for WR2. I don't see WR good value once WR2 is filled, because you have one of the best slot WR in the game (Humphries) and one of the better ST players in Russell.
I also find it hard to fathom the Bucs stand pat and don't add a RB and WR from FA outside of just re-signing their own FA's.
