Welp... Saban to Texas now?
No, if you coach at Texas you need to be able to beat OU.
Bama has seemed slow on defense all year - by their standards. Their pass rush hasn't been good at all most of the season. I just didn't think OU had anyone who could exploit that.

this pretty well sums up my thoughts heading into this game. Bama's defense never felt special to me this year.
Ok also, who the FAK is this Striker dude. He absolutely dominated tonight off the edge.
it seemed like some of these guys came out of nowhere to have a major impact in a big game lol Striker, Knight, Sheppard and Saunders
OU was a mess most of the year because of QB turmoil and a few key injuries, so there wasn't a lot of coverage thrown their way. Blake Bell sucked and Knight either wasn't healthy, or wasn't ready to fully take over in the eyes of the coaches. There were several games where they could have put in Knight when Bell was struggling, but choose to stick with Bell. Either way Knight is healthy now, and this game alone will have plenty of eyes on OU next year.
Oklahoma defensive pass rusher Striker is beating Bama's Koundaijo (sp) and he is the Tide's best Olineman...allegedly
Fun Fact...Eric Striker played at Armwood...

Striker has been a stud all year long...as well as Jalen Saunders...Saunders transfered to OU from Fresno State and had to sit out a year, but he has been very good as a Sooner. Saunders is a senior and he returns punts...he has taken a few to the house this year.Knight as been up and down all year, either from performance issues to injuries...it has been a rough year for the kid...I am happy for him and his bowl performance.Sheppard has been steady all year as well...most people don't know about the OU guys because they been right around #10 or lower for most of the year....except for Saunders...the others will be back next year. The future looks bright!!
Bob Stoops is an idiot for keeping Knight buried behind Blake Bell the whole year. I knew once he did what he did vs. OSU, that with a month of practice, that Knight would do a decent job tonight. His WRs Saunders and Shepherd are excellent in space and work perfectly for a QB like Knight.
Stoops didn't bury him...he has been injured and he had some pretty shoddy performances earlier in the year. His throws in this game have been far and away his best of the entire season...he could always run...throwing was his weakness...
Miyagi-san mad.

easy on Striker being a stud all year buddy.. without the sugar bowl he had 32 total tackles and 3.5 sacks that doesn't qualify as a stud in my book.as far as Sheppard and Saunders yes they've been solid all year but for OU nation being solid isn't good enough. the future definitely looks very bright for them looks like they're getting back to the days contending for championships year in and year out. GO BUCS!!!! AND GO RUTGERS!!! ;D

Followed the Sooners all year. I'm not buying the "he didn't play him because he was too injured" story. He stuck with Blake Bell for too long. Injury had something to do with it, sure, but I also think that the coaching staff didn't feel he was ready and wanted to see if Bell would pull his head out of his ass.

Alabama under Saban has generally played an oversized defense that punishes teams that can't pass the ball well. If you have an offensive line that can block their bull rushers and a QB with the arm to throw in between their big hitting average cover defensive backs, you can exploit them.

how about a mobile QB that has given them problems all year

Up tempo offenses with a mobile QB and an offense that can get to the perimeter in a hurry is the hole in the armor...A&M, Auburn, and OU have used almost the same exact blue print
