Well I do not know if anyone else noticed but the very first player transaction made by Lovie Smith and Jason Licht was to sign QB Mike Kafka. He is 26 years old. 6'3" 225lbs.He was a former 4th Round pick who hasn't really played much. Kafka is very much like Mike Glennon. He is more of a game manager and does not have a really strong arm. From the little that I can find on him he has a very quick set up and a good release. Seems to have decent accuracy. He's obviously not a great player but he is probably already better than Glennon. You never know. If they don't bring in or draft a QB, Kafka could be our new QB if he beats out Twiggy. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7sTlJSUM1lM

He is already known as "better" than Glennon?According to what circle?Did Kafka ever create any ripples in the NFL?Glennon was a pebble ripple, but people seem to think Glennon is a decent prospect. Angelo be damned. I think the Bucs need a QB upgrade. Kafka ain't spit. Better me azz. Lol!

So are you the "lives under a bridge" type, or a "long pink spiked hair" type?

I'm just saying. So far this off season can't be going too well if your team fired the coach who wanted you,  fired the GM who drafted you and then the very first move made by the incoming regime is to sign a QB. I'm not trying to say Kafka = Krown or anything. .......Just saying. I think that they share my extreme skepticism that Mike Glennon is going to be the answer.

Just another person that doesn't like Glennon who is obviously REACHING for anything they can grab.

Not true. I love Glennon and don't want him to end up like Chris Spleenless Simms. Hit the weight room for 2 years and then let's see what he's got.

They signed him to replace Jordan Rogers to throw to WR's we bring in.  This is a nothing story.

I don't know Kafka looks tons more polished than Glennon does. Glennon has such a slow goofy drop back and can't improvise is ignorant of the obvious blitz situations. What else? Oh yeah, terrible deep ball Quinn almost ripped his spleen out. Can't throw on the run at all. Oh yeah and his girlfriend is a second stringer too.

If Kafka looks so polished, why was he available?  Im not going to get into a Glennon debate this morning, but he is better than Kafka.

I think the timing on Kafka has more to do that the Cowboys were also sniffing around him as a backup.

Massive, MASSIVE reach by the OP. Kafka has played sparingly as a third stringer yet  he is "probably already better than Glennon". Lol. Dude has to get a lot more snaps against 1st stringers in regular season games before any non-simpleton could make an assessment like that. Obvious troll is obvious.

It amazes me how little time people are willing to give young QBs.  Glennon hasn't even played a whole season yet and people think they can predict his whole career.  I still stand by the thought that he did very well given what he had to work with and deserves a chance to show what he can do when he isn't starting behind the 8 ball.  If we were to cut Glennon right now at 10:34 EST he would have a new job before you finish lunch.

I'm with Booker on this one.and I like Kafka.... but there is NO logic to the OPs question IMO.  Rodgers wasn't going to cut it for Tedford apparently.  I'm ok with it.

But he has that "goofy" drop back......That statement alone gives you some insight on the OP's bias. Definitely a member of the cute QB fan club.
