Bucs make a smart move as they try to improve their kicking game: GM Jason Licht has agreed to terms with former NFL kicker Chris Boniol to become a specialists coach on Bruce Arians' new staff, working under special-teams coordinator Keith Armstrong.
New Bucs specalists coach Chris Boniol, who will work with the team's kicker, punt and long-snapper, is 47 and kicked for the Cowboys, Eagles and Bears during a six-year NFL career from 1994-99.
Boniol was working as a senior special teams adviser on Joe Moorhead's coaching staff at Mississippi State this past season before joining Bucs' staff for 2019.
