Andy Benoit ?@Andy_Benoit 28m28 minutes agoLooking at film on #Panthers #Bucs today. Will tweet some of the notes as I go along.#Bucs Film: Jackson 23 yds was skinny post on 1st down PA. Good call to build trust+confidence in Winston immediately following pick-six.Film: all three #Panthers LB’s – Klein, Thompson, Davis – can run. A very good pursuit D.Film: #Panthers LB’s are also all natural attackers in run game.#Bucs Film: Winston in a very good rhythm from pocket in 2nd qtr. Threw right on time, good feel for #Panthers zones after cloudy start.#Bucs Film: underrated part of Winston is his legs. Not a mobile QB but far from a statue.Film: #Bucs significant part of run game came out of straight I formation. Martin 5-yd TD an example.#Panthers Film: LB Davis a critical component in pass rush, blitzes and four-man zone exchanges (LB comes, D-lineman drops out)Film: #Panthers in blitzes also showed some 4-over, 2-uunder concepts#Panthers #Bucs Film: Norman did outstanding job on Vincent Jackson. Thoroughly won that matchup in the first half.#Bucs Film: Winston at times was a little frenetic in movement, a subtle hurriedness to him. Natural ups and downs of being a rookie.#Bucs Film: Martin offered some sustainability on ground, consistently got the extra 1 or 2 yds on runs that #Panthers defended well.#Bucs #Panthers Film: Winston did not work the Evans-Tillman matchup; Evans was an afterthought.Film: Norman second INT was off another #Panthers blitz with 3-over, 3-under coverage. Great rotation and disguise.#Bucs Film: Martin showed excellent vision and ability to adjust and fit through small cracks. Back to back runs of 10 and 26 yds examples.#Bucs #Panthers Film: Jackson 10 rec for 147, vast majority were zone-beaters, nothing to do w/ Norman. When the 2 squared off, Norman won.#Bucs Film: Martin 24 yds on 4th-1 sensational job setting up Hawley’s pull block on the perimeter. Really great ex. of how to play NFL RB.#Panthers Film: DT Short was disruptive at times in run D, ability to penetrate. Tendency to play upright doesn’t impede him a whole lot.Film: #Panthers defended #Bucs RB screen game well.#Bucs Film: Winston very inconsistent footwork at this point. Must continue to refine there.
