Everyone knows Carr has the arm to fling it without even needing to plant his feet.  If his accuracy and quick release checks out with the pro scouts he will sky rocket on draft boards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-iL9Nk31pU

I would be thrilled if the Bucs drafted Carr.  He may have his flaws but he has the highest ceiling of all the QB's in the draft.  He has some bad tape, but his good tape is better than any other QB's good tape.  If you haven't seen any of his games check out the youtube link below.  It shows all his games from this year. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dc4heisman&sm=3

His good tape is not better than "any other's" good tape.  I watched his bowl game, thats all the tape I needed to see to say hell no.

48 seconds in, highlight shows him successfully rolling left and throwing a pass down field.    Already better than Glennon.

So you're going to judge someone off 1 game?  Every QB has had a bad game.  Who else coming out of the draft has better highlights as far as making NFL big boy throws?  Bridgewater?  Bortles?  Manziel?  I've looked at all those guys and they can't make the same throws with the same zip and accuracy.  They all play better under pressure and that is probably the only thing Carr struggles with.  He will need a very good O-line or be coached up to play better under pressure.

I do get that feeling. I get the point. But I don't like it.

And that one game his team was simply outcoached.  USC coaches were smart enough to come up with a gameplan to stop their offense which is based on short passes and virtually no running game other than an occasional draw.

Actually two. He was awful in his Bowl game last year too. Two biggest games of his college career were his worse. To me, that is kinda important.

Aaron Rodgers was pretty average in his bowl game too.  Got outplayed by Texas Tech's QB Sonny Cumbie.  Yes, THE Sonny Cumbie.  Basing someone's entire NFL career on 1 or 2 Bowl games doesn't make much sense.

Both games he was heavily pressured and took some big hits.  Like I said, he needs to work on dealing with pressure better and not getting rattled.  When the pocket is clean or he gets rid of the ball quickly he looks like a legit franchise QB.

One bad Bowl game could be a fluke. Two out of two is a pattern. Look I get it. He could still be great and the 2 bad bowl games don't mean he will definitely suck....but pretending like those bad performances mean nothing is silly. For a college QB, a Bowl game is the Super Bowl. That is their big moment. You wanna see them step up and play their best football. Especially when it's a guys last college game and he is trying to work his way into the 1st round. So when a guy totally flops, not once, but twice in his Bowl game opportunity...there is definitely a good chance that he will choke in the NFL. Bridgewater, Manziel, and Bortles stepped up to the challenge. They all three played great in this years' and last years' bowl games. They took their game to another level when it mattered most. That is what you want to see when you are thinking about taking a QB in the 1st round.

Vanilla packages equals Super Bowl?  Not buying that brand. Career trumps bowl game silliness.

So will the Bucs sit Carr for 4 years like the Packers did Rodgers so he can develop the pro skills he will need to succeed?

Jamarcus Russell knows exactly what you are talking about.
