We'll see how the Bucs finish, but so far I've been really disappointed in what Arians has brought to the Bucs. It's not just the record, but the lack of progress. Even more so, its the clear examples that Arians is behind the elite coaches in the NFL in his use of analytics for gameday decision making.

1) This was sold as a playoff roster that was just short of quality coaching. Well clearly superior coaches with Mike Smith, George Warhop and Nate Kaczor gone but same result. Actually a worse result, Bucs were 3-4 at this point last year.

2) I'm sorry but kicking from a FG from the 5 and 7-yard lines is hardly "no risk it, no biscuit". It's cowardly.

The NFL has changed a lot in its utilization of analytics for gameday decisions. NFL coaches are much more aggressive on 4th down, to the point that Riverboat Ron goes for it just as much but is below-average in how often he goes for it on 4th.

Arians is behind the times and hasn't caught up. He's calling the game like he's playing with 2013 coaches.

3) Lack of development of the roster. We're not seeing player development that's any superior to what it was under Koetter.

Perhaps most egregious: the Bucs rookies are not playing well.
