Lions can play defense, and is pretty healthy.
Giants look awful. Talk about a delusional fan base that endlessly defends Daniel jones
I might be in the minority, but I can't think of any instance of a Giants fan defending Jones.
I though they hated him as much as they do Fenway.
i live up in New Jersey area and it's sickening how much they defend him. Not saying they dont have a point in that the rest of the team stinks but to think he's potentially the answer still is mind boggling
when that contract was signed, everyone knew it was a bad deal for 15 TD pass Daniel Jones; but not them...no
yes, i get the pleasure of dealing with New York and Philadelphia fans lol

Damn, I had no idea.
That’s nuts.
JAX Trevor Lawrence may have a real problem. Can't find it now but read an article back in March/April that noted JAX's offensive issues in the 2nd half of games the last two seasons. Basically a significant drop in efficiency. At the time I figured it was just TL needing more time in Pederson's system. But, after seeing the clips from last night's game, maybe there's an actual issue.
CAR is probably a lot worse than I figured they would be. NOR might be a tad better, but I just don't believe it. Haven't seen a second of that game yet, but looking at the boxscore and stats, the thing that sticks out is the 3 turnovers. Then the fact that NO ran 37 times for 180yds, 4.9yds/carry. Which seems to suggest that CAR doesn't have much of a run defense. The 13 1st downs by rushing only corroborates that.
Carr, otoh, threw for just 200 yds. 3 TDs, yes, but a glance at the play-by-play and NOR had 4-6 short fields to work with. So, probably not the offensive juggernaut the final score indicates.
Bottom line, if NOR holds their own vs. DAL/PHI, I'll start believing in a Derek Carr renaissance, maybe. Until then, they just got lucky and CAR was worse than terrible.
Daniel Jones pick was always a head scratcher to me. 4-8 7-6, 6-5 52td 29 int in 3 years in the acc for a #6 overall pick is too crazy, definite reach. 6'5 4.7 40. idk how he graded out so well. Bro is Davis mills but is getting paid 150mil
Smart guy, studies well, but probably doesn't make the people around him better. Maybe just me, but doesn't look like the strongest communicator. he got#6 and then paid 150mil which comes with expectations.

what's crazy is that he threw 15 touchdown passes in the season that netted him the $150M contract
no idea what the Giants were thinking
then you see guys like Lawrence, Love, etc. get $50+ mil contracts; makes you feel fortunate we were able to get Baker for $33!
now grant it, Baker played great on Sunday and currently ranks firming in the 15ish category of QB rankings but still that difference in annual cap hit helps keep guys like Wirf, Evans, and Winfield around and we will see just who has the best year of the three of them this year to see if the additional cap hit was worth it
