Much like Schiano drafting Mike Glennon after failing to get him to commit to Rutgers, don't be surprised if a similar situation plays out for the Bucs in this years draft.Specifically, I can definitely see the Bucs targeting Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the 2nd round of the draft. Tedford offered Jenkins a scholarship in 2010 before he committed to Washington, so he knows him well. He's also had two huge games against Cal while Tedford was still there (4 catches for 54 yards and 2 TDs in 2011, and 8 catches, 154 yards, 1 TD in 2012). Cal lost both games by 8 points, so Jenkins definitely was was a big factor in outcome of both games.I've read that Tedford prefers to have a TE that can block (not that anyone prefers a TE that can't block), and Jenkins is one of the better blocking TE's in the draft.Tedford wanted him out of high school, and I think there's a great chance he will target him again on draft day.
Nice finds. Yea from all the Tedford research thats been done, we can assume he definitely would like a good blocking TE and receiving skills would be perfect for his core playaction money concept. So Seferian-Jenkins fits the bill there, Tedford already wanted him once before, his team got wrecked by him 2 years in a row, and it also fiils a team need. Yea I'd say if the odds of us drafting him in the second if hes there are high.
Love him in the 2nd
Paired with Watkins we might actually get this offense out of the basement.

+1
Anyone with 3 names and a hyphen scares me...........
Looking at his offense, it really appears that a blocking TE is important to his offensive success. I'm not so sure about a receiving TE, but I haven't looked at enough articles on his offense yet. However, to the best of my knowledge, he never developed a highly drafted TE at Cal, so I'm thinking that he just favors a blocking TE with some receiving skills. I'm not saying that Jenkins isn't a target, but I'm not assuming this yet.

Every good team should have at least one "law firm"

yes this would be awesome

That would be a greate route if we hit up DE in free agency. With Watkins, Williams, Vjax, Jenkins, and Martin, I think I could probably play QB.

That's the fastest way to get this team on track. I sure hope Lovie and co. go this route
If we don't fix the line it won't matter who our recievers are.
He's my "Lavonte David". A guy I want the Bucs to draft in the second round no matter who we draft in the first. ASJ is an animal and is easily a first round talent. There's a lot of good TE prospects though so he might be the third TE taken. The kid from UNC and TTech may go ahead of him because they were more productive.
Rastafarian Jenkins! I'm completely on board since the success rate of basketball players as TEs is like 900%.

I think that's a very doable offseason. Not sure what will happen or what needs to happen with the OL though
