Check out this rotoworld link. This guy spent a lot of time gathering these numbers and then putting them into quantifiable form for us to understand. I think he did a great job. This just reaffirms my opinion that Bortles does below with Bridgewater and Manziel at the top of the draft, while Derek Carr is over hyped and should be avoided. Good stuff here. Don't miss the 2nd page. http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/45952/349/2014s-quarterback-conundrum
Nice! Bridgewater's pocket presence is amazing
Manziel's numbers were a surprise.Bridgwater is a stud. Not surprised Bortles is rising on draft boards.Carr has to prove he can function in a different offense.Good stuff all around.
Good stuff. I'm not smart enough to discern between Bridgewater, Bortles, and Manziel, but it's pretty clear Carr is lacking in everything.
Carr is an engima.Manziel will sky rocket on draft boards if he is taller than advertised though.
Manziel is as good as advertised. He is still a risky pick though due to his small stature, his habit of holding ball out while scrambling, and the fact that he rarely gets instant pressure in college. When you watch him, he usually has a good 4 or 5 seconds before he starts scrambling or throws the ball. That won't be happening in the NFL. I worry about him getting injured, fumbling, and adjusting to a faster game.
This pretty much confirmed my thoughts on Carr....was a little surprised at JFF's percentages grading out as well as they did.
Sort of misses the heaves it to Evans effect. He tries to account for that but lil Johnny doesn't make NFL throws into the NFL throwing ranges. You can see his targeting grid shows a ton of those heaves to Evans in the sideline compared to the other QBs.
Manziel grades out as a" C" prospect at that stats sight (adjusted for level of competition).Bridgewater B+/A-Garoppolo B+Fales B-Carr C-(they haven't loaded Bortles yet)
Manziel is the classic Doug Flutie sandlot QB. Whether he translates to the NFL is a big question mark. What you notice with all four is how relatively close they are in the 6-10 and 11-20 yard ranges.
Make mine Manziel

Draft Teddy or Johnny Football!!
That was a great article. I just hope Bortles doesn't go to the Browns or Jags.

I would almost bet on it.
