Considering who we were playing and what was at stake that was one of the worst performances we've ever ever seen and you guys are making McCown and Trask jokes. It took a miracle to beat a 2-14 team.
you guys are making McCown …. jokes.
I think that might’ve been a JC joke, actually.
kidding aside, it’s a little funny for you to call him “worthless” because you earlier said he was worth $10 million take it or leave it and then upped that later … and now he’s zero
Besides, none of us know the guy actual condition and it should be pretty obvious - if we are being fair- that there’s more to it than Mayfield. As one easy example, the had one DT destroy our entire line repeatedly lol. Granted a good player, but man…
another easy example, Palmers drop…
Baker proved yesterday he is worthless. We were incredibly lucky to win that game.
JFTR... no one outside of Florida knows who Trask is except the media
Until last year nobody knew who the hell Brock Purdy was either. I still remember when Drew Bledsoe went down and thinking the Patriots were so screwed starting that crappy Michigan QB. Do you feel any dumber yet? I could add a dozen more. I still remember when Steve Young would never amount to anything so we traded him away to San Fran, those losers!

You're comparing Trask to Purdy and Bledsoe~?
That's precious
Maybe he should actually get on the field, throw a TD pass or God forbid, even play first but, his potential is such that the Bucs signed Mayfield who took you to a title when you were ranked 31st in the preseason
Even leaving Trask out of it proves that neither you or the media know WTF you're talking about

And you're being a dumbass. The simple fact that this conveys is that NOBODY, including the coaches, KNOWS until they actually get a chance to PLAY! This moronic view of Trask just typifies stupidity. You don't know what you have to you roll it out there and try, and they have yet to do that with Trask. We'll probably become the only NFL franchise to ever sit on a 2nd round QB and never give them at least some playing time with starters to see what they have. Which would be stupid. Nobody, including the coaches, thought that Purdy or Brady would be what they are/were. The Bucs' coaches didn't think Steve Young would amount to anything. See a pattern? Could mention Favre (Falcons). Could mention a dozen others. But I suspect your Trask hatred would prevent you from seeing what I am saying anyways.

just so you know bucharbour is Kyle trasks brother so he’s very sensitive about the subject
"the playoffs dont matter"
“I think [the concept] helps them because they don’t know, and they haven’t been there,” Bowles said. “I think it’s exciting for them. You can only get there by getting experience, and everybody that’s been there has to have been a rookie, second-, or third-year guy at some point.
“Some guys go through eight [or] nine years and don’t get there. I know it took Lavonte [David] a while to get there, but these guys don’t have to change anything they’re doing.
“They matured at the right time, they’re playing fast, they’re playing hard, and they should it should be exciting for them, and I want them to enjoy it.”
“The playoffs don’t matter”
whoever thinks not making the playoffs is better for the franchise than making and going one and done; talk to the Detroit lions fans
talk to Buc fans 10 years ago.
we are actually watching meaningful football and we are bitching about it
whoever thinks not making the playoffs is better for the franchise
"it would be different if the Bucs were a young team"
;-)

No, I'm not. You're just an effing idiot evidenced by your posts.
People who talk the way they do about Trask do so for stupid reasons, which I keep pointing out. But if you want to keep being a dumbass, feel free. The simple reality is we have a 2nd round pick invested in the guy. He basically outplayed Mayfield through camp and preseason, yet he hasn't gotten any significant time on the field with the starters yet despite our starting QB playing like shit in 9 of 17 games, and just acceptable in 4 others. For all the talk about how the coaching staff supposedly doesn't think highly of Trask, they went right to the passing game with him initially and on third down after a failed run. That's not showing you distrust the QB, is it.
But dumbasses will be dumbasses.
We had a second round pick invested in Roberto aguayo sensitive Susan
chase McLaughlin is to Roberto aguayo as to baker mayfield is to Kyle trask
true or false. Let’s see how you do on that exam question

This "exam question" lacks logic. Roberto Aguayo, the 2nd rounder, played and showed immediately he wasn't good enough. Kyle Trask, the 2nd rounder, has not played so we don't know if he sucks, is average backup QB material, or can be an NFL starter. No matter how much you want to act otherwise, Trask is an unknown. Roberto Aguayo is the opposite.
I'm not sure why this concept is so difficult for you people to grasp.
Trask is a unknown?
After multiple seasons, several off-seasons, several pre-seasons, several different coaches, after coming on during a game and after Mayfield has been injured badly . . . and CANALES said Mayfield give us best chance to win so if he can play he will and Pewter Report . . . just reported (key word). . that the Bucs (not just Bowles lol) didn't think he was a NFL starter and so they were likely to draft a QB again, maybe even in the 2nd round . . again.
I hope if/when Trask is KNOWN he is awesome, but shouldn't the insightful football analysis be more than "its just Bowles keeping him down" or "he hasnt shown that he sucks yet?"
Shown who? The fans?
The Bucs seem to have seen him
Even with Canales as the OC

Canales has also been quoted as saying he had total confidence in Trask, that Trask could perform well, and that Trask has "it" factor.
Correction, PR didnt report news on Trask, SR predicted it based on his understanding of the team's views of Trask, particularly in light of his contract:
But with Mayfield turning 29 in April and having a bit of an erratic career, Bucs general manager Jason Licht would be wise to invest in another quarterback in such a QB-heavy draft. I think that’s what Tampa Bay is planning to do, although not necessarily in the first round.
USC’s Caleb Williams, North Carolina’s Drake Maye are locks to be Top 10 picks, and LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Oregon’s Bo Nix, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. could all end up in the first round, too.
Bucs backup quarterback Kyle Trask will be entering a contract year in 2024. While he has made some strides this year in training camp and the preseason, he has not shown any special qualities that lead the team to believe he can be an impact starter in the league.
So whether or not Mayfield returns in 2024, the Bucs will once again draft a quarterback. If Mayfield isn’t re-signed, it will likely be with a first-round pick. If Mayfield does sign a contract extension, Tampa Bay will aim to select a promising young signal caller as early as Day 2.
maybe he's back with a new contract though. It would be great for the Bucs to not have to use more draft picks on QB for a while (if they go with Mayfield)
