Turnovers are the story. We are controlling them... it keeps us competitive.
True and it’s been great.
wonder how we do in a game where it’s even or we are on the bad side
I swear we are the only fan base that talks about a QB from 2019.we have won a chip since he left and still butt hurt over him.
we can compare him to the Goat if you want but not many would be better than him, would have to be top 5 QB and no one is claiming that for Baker; but he is definitely in the top 15 discussion so far.
1. Brady 2021
2. Brady 2020
3. Mayfield 2023
4. Brady 2022
Can't wait for the commercial where Baker takes out the trash at RayJay. Or mows the grass at RayJay. Or is locked out at RayJay with the groceries and needs his wife to let him in. Or maybe we pump the brakes and give him a few more games. So far, so good.
I mean through 2 weeks, Baker looks better than Derek Carr
baker was ranked like 30th best QB before start of season and his play has changed that
hopefully it continues. I’m sure turnovers will happen so we will have to put up more points
averaging 20 a game on offense isn’t bad but we need to get to 30 to be a Super Bowl contender

I can see him dressed like a pirate and living with his wife on the pirate ship inside the stadium. I don't know what product he will be hawking, however.
I think we could have worse. He should get better with more timing and practice. Just needs to continue to be smart with the ball. Also see how he does against some better ds. We have good weapons for him and oline could be worse too.
We'll see this week. He's going to be under duress from every where except Wirfs man.
2 games is too small of a sample size to make evaluations on any players or teams as a whole.

Especially when the 3rd game is the Eagles!

This is a fair point, although Danielle Hunter was a problem in the first half vs. Minny - Mayfield's worst half by far this season.
But the Eagles DL is a different animal. Curious to see how the OC and QB handle it.
first half vs. Minny - Mayfield's worst half by far this season
first half of Minny, Canales started with a Waldon/Leftwich style pass, pass and pass game
second half of Minny (and first half of Bears) . . started with a more Bowles/Carroll 50/50ish
Bowles - "Flores is a good defensive coordinator. Second half, we made some adjustments. We came out and stuck with the run a little bit. "
Carroll would be proud!
weird
might say biggly weird
@gobucs1980 And seriously, Winston wasn't even that bad. Not saying the turnovers weren't a huge problem or that the Bucs' didn't do the right thing when moving on just that I watched all those games and there was plenty of excitement and nice moments. Bucs all time leading passer.... The dude most recently threw 14 TD's to 3 int's for NO in 6.5 games. Just tired of listening to guys on here who probably can barely get off their couch act like Winston is a bum.

First Quarter - 7 passes & 5 runs
Second Quarter - 6 passes & 7 runs
**Adjustments**
Third Quarter - 10 passes & 6 runs (one drive, ending in TD)
Unsurprisingly, you have no idea what you're talking about. Mayfield played like crap in the first half because he played like crap. It had nothing to do with the playcalling. You will believe any coach-speak offered, because you haven't the foggiest idea as to what you are talking about. Clearly, the Bucs didn't "come out and stick with the run a little bit" in Q3 because they passed 10 times and only ran it 6. But you are a moron and are gullible for coach-speak. This is merely example #65,154 of your dumbassery.

I think the problem is that in this game if you want to go to the next level as in far in playoffs super bowl... you either gotta have a above average qb maybe even elite because of how top heavy the best qbs seem to be on best teams. Or you got a guy who takes care of the ball and can make things happen when need to and d and olines dominate. If you have those then you can make it far. I think baker is lucky to be on a team that still has remnants of the super bowl team around him. If he takes care of the ball that's the difference there. Winston just couldn't take care of the ball in key times here or really anywhere and I think that is where maybe baker can succeed if he takes care of the ball. Also if d doesn't fall apart in early in games. It's hard to play come back no matter who is qb. That wasn't always there for Winston but there are guys who can get out of those jams without throwing picks. The elite guys and I think we can all agree that probably baker isn't elite. Let's hope he can make good plays with rest of the team.

The ever reliable Buggsy dishonesty

Which is why they opened the second half with 11 passes, 3 of them to Kieft? and why the also opened the second game that way too? . . LMAO

yeah . . . "clearly"
LMAO
Quarter 1 - first ten plays (usually SCRIPTED). Quater 3 -- first ten plays (ppst adjustment)
Pass RUN
Pass RUN
Pass. Pass
RUN Pass
Pass RUN
Pass Pass
Pass Pass
Pass RUN
Pass RUN
RUN Pass
2 run, 8 pass. 5 run, 5 pass
BUGGSY, your trolling is lazy AF
In this case you're expecting people to believe you over the actual plays and Bowles and Canales
LIKE IS SAID WAY BACK BEFORE the first game, Bowles hired Canales. Bowles is a BIG beleiver in runnign. for the reasosn he has actually laid out as recently as last week. That should mean that OVERALL Canales is more likley Carroll (and thats a good thing) than some sort of run & shoot guy lol (Carroll is roughy 50/50) . .. . . .a POINT THAT YOU HAVE HILARIOUSL:Y MADE YOURSELF HERE. . . . TWICE. T
he first quarter was the anomaly. The y did adjust. and it WORKED
you know why?
Because there IS a correlation between running an passing in the NFL
