Am I to understand the Carroll disciple who is going to run a ground & pound offense this season "scripted" 8/10 pass plays to start the game? Nothing but sound logic was applied to the above post.
It can be difficult to make sense from the rantings of mad man that clearly doesn't understand the game, which is why posts like this are mostly ignored. But one of the more humorous things might be that this nitwit thinks in-game adjustments only happen at halftime. Completely clueless.
Because there IS a correlation between running an passing in the NFL
You like to say this, but you haven't been able to offer any factual evidence for over a decade. The reason for that is you're a dumbass and your statement isn't true. Here some factual evidence:
2022 Top 5 Rushing Teams:
1. Chicago - 32nd passing
2. Baltimore - 28th passing
3. Atlanta - 31st passing
4. NY Giants - 26th passing
5. Philly - 9th passing
2022 Top 5 Passing Teams:
1. Kansas City - 20th rushing
2. Tampa Bay - 32nd rushing
3. LA Chargers - 30th rushing
4. Miami - 25th rushing
5. Minnesota - 28th rushing
Where's the correlation? It appears you don't have to be good at running the football to throw the football well. Oddly enough, it also appears you don't have to be good at throwing the football to run the football well. That's usually how correlations work. You either have positive correlations, negative correlations, or zero correlations. Here is handy-dandy graph to help the simpletons among us figure this thing out. How do you think the above data points would fit on a graph, dipshit?
I would ask for you to back up your statement, but we both know how that's gonna go. You'll scour the internet for days (because you aren't equipped to answer for yourself) only to come up short. Rinse and repeat.
Canales has played a big role in Baker’s success so far this season, which is what I thought would happen when he arrived as OC.
QB-friendly system, with passing concepts that scheme open our playmakers in space, making it easier for the QB.
And, wouldn’t you know it? Only 2 weeks in and we’re Top-5 in play-action usage.
Imagine that!
Carroll disciple who is going to run a ground & pound offense
Carroll isnt "ground and pound"
he's definitely run first though FOR THE SAME REASONS THAT BOWLES just gave
As usual Buggsy, you have things backwards. The Bucs last year were 60/30 pass to run? guessing but somethign like that. Bowles DISAGREED with that but couldnt get Leftwich and BRADY to change. Harold Godwin was also against, right? spoke out against it
Canales was hired by Bowles because he (Bolwes) is like Carroll and so thats why I posted earlir that hed' most likely be Carroll-seque (a GOOD thing). he as the opposite of that in the 1st quarter of the Vikes game and then the team improved as he adjusted
OH WAIT . . you said he and Bowles were LYING about that lmao

This is right. The QB as a distributor.
Last year we were (guessing() 65-35 pass to run, now more 50 50
balanced
I didn’t realize until the other day that baker had 7 different OCs in his career.
tough for any QB to be successful with a new coach/scheme/offense year in and year out.
I was as skeptical as anyone. Wasn’t a fan of the signing.
through two weeks I’ll gladly eat crow. He’s outplayed QBs like Trevor Lawrence & even jalen hurts so far.
early though. Excited with the signing thus far though! Him and Evans already have a nice chemistry.

Poor QB play tends to get OC’s fired.
Baker Mayfield through 2 weeks
47/68
501 yards
3 TDs
7.4 yards per attempt
3 big time throws
82.6 PFF grade (3rd among QBs)
This is right. The QB as a distributor.
Right. Acting more as a point guard.
And, that's due to an offense that actually schemes guys open vs. expecting them to do nothing but win 1:1's.
Which, Canales said was stupid.
Last year we were (guessing() 65-35 pass to run, now more 50 50
Yep.
AND...Running out of multiple formations, different running options, different personnel groupings, pre-snap motions, etc.
A concept completely foreign to our last clueless OC.
balanced
Balanced and not the most predictable offense in the NFL.

First Quarter - 7 passes & 5 runs
Second Quarter - 6 passes & 7 runs
**Adjustments**
Third Quarter - 10 passes & 6 runs (one drive, ending in TD)
Since it didn’t register before, the third quarter play selection obliterates your argument. The OC didn’t come out pass happy, with the first half being 13:12. After the magical halftime adjustments, it was 10:6. Since you need everything explained, that’s more passing than the first half. Nice adjustments.
You’re allowed to live in reality. I highly recommend it.

I don’t even think you are that dumb
i do however know you are that fragile
Like I said before, I expecting Baker to come out hot. Talk to me when its mid or late season when teams have film on us.
Baker is playing well but this week will be a much better test.
One thing I do know... if Trask were starting we'd probably be 0-2.
Why? He's immobile and our line still sucks.

Big test coming up.
On paper the Eagles should crush us because of the line play difference, but who knows? Turnovers, as one example, can change everything.
Posters who liked Winston only remember the good things he did, while those who didn't like Winston only remember the bad things. The same goes for Bowles and Mayfield. But points can be made without calling each other's names.
Hmm. A lot of people are predicting an Eagles blowout, but Vegas has it at less than a 6 point game.
