He's not inconsistent in the playoffs tho is he~?
Irony... guy follows the GOAT and before half his first season was over people are pissed because he didn't play like the GOAT in his Patriot prime... lol
Team rated #31 in pre-season wins a playoff game... not enuff
The reality is many just want to see him fail because he's not ''their guy'' and look forward to his next bad game as if no other QB has one
He's 2-1 so far
Lamar is 1-3
Just hope the receivers don't have 6 drops in the first half again, eh?
In an absolutely Perfect World the Bucs play the Texans in the SB while the Browns sit back and watch everything they traded away playing for a title just to sign a pervert who has played 11 games in 3 seasons
He's not inconsistent in the playoffs tho is he~?
Actually, yes he is Mrs. Mayfield:
Game 1 - Good 115.2 QB rating (3 TD, 0 Int, 263 yards, 7.7 YPA)
Game 2 - Bad 74.6 QB rating (1 TD, 1 Int, 204 yards, 5.5 YPA)
Game 3 - Really Good 119.8 QB rating (3 TD, 0 Int, 337 yards, 9.4 YPA)
Let's hope that pattern doesn't continue this weekend.
I Added that to complete your thought!!! You implied it with your tone, that is all.
I wouldn't say that I thought you were being a Karen. Just sounded like you're trying too hard to control conversations on a message board. If I thought you were a Karen, I'd call you one. Nothing wrong with being relatively optimistic, just keep in mind others won't agree and they're going to post those feelings.
Otherwise, it's all good.
I know, I value constructive criticism most of all. Its how we grow and refine our conjecture which leads to our actions and then further from their on. If I only read nice things about the posts I post, I wouldnt be able to grow any longer, thats basically hell. Anyhoo. agree with me, disagree with me, I value both as long as we both grow from our interactions, one interaction at a time !!!!
Ramon B 1981 GOOO Bucs!!!!
Who are the Bucs negotiating against except themselves? Baker needs the Bucs more than the Bucs need Baker.
uh…. wut?
honestly have no idea where that comes from.
I'll dumb it down for you. If the Bucs were not an option for Mayfield, what teams are aggressively bidding on him?
Ill say this. THEY BOTH probably NEED each other. Baller needs the BUCS because he has what he needs, a supportive team that is ALL IN ON HIM REGARDLESS!!!! And the BUCS NEED a Franchise QB. The GOAT is GONE. We had to replace him with someone. JL brought Baller, didnt he. And BALLER is BALLIN OUT, I know just as well as anyone how inconsistent he can be, but he is only as inconsistent as his last game- some would use that "saying"- anyhoo, lets see what he does to the Kitties, sounds like their pass D may be exploitable. I hope Baker's arm is just as lively vs the Kitties and our pass catchers simply catch a few more BALLS than they did on Monday. If he can do that again, stringing 2 strong games together, thats at least the START of developing consistency. I wont just say, he CANT do it because he hasnt before, Im saying, that Ill give him one game at a time to continue proving that his past is in his past and he has Become the Baller that he was drafted to be. I guess thats really all. Whats the worst that can happen??? His haterz are right about him. How cares, Im pretty sure he's already a millionaire, has a family, and can retire today if he wanted to. But, I know that he has more to offer and just needs the home and opportunity to due so, at least that would be a nice Cinderella story, but I kinda like those comeback stories-sue me!!!!

I LUV BURNS (more appropriately worded as "ROASTS")!!!!! I hope it plays out just like that. Except that we crush them like we CRUSHED in 2002 and CRUSHED again in 2021. I think I would shyt, literrally shyt myself if if played out just like that and we Crush in 2023/2024. The only thing standing in our way is the Kitties, NFC championship game, and Texans. It would take a miracle for it to play out that way. But just thinking about it is nice. Thanks mang!!!!
Im telling you the Lions are gonna be a tough test, they disguise they’re coverages very well and Mayfield is gonna need to be on, because the windows are gonna be tight and the opportunities will be limited he has to be “him” for us to win.

And who did he play and what were the quality of the defenses? (This is called context)
We already know the eagles defense was awful this year.
Pitt he destroyed. KC he didn't but there were a ton of controversial calls in that game that hurt his stats.
QBR is just like any other stat... does it account for drops? I know it accounts for quality of defense and sacks... does it account for pressure? Garbage time? Clutch time?

I bet Kevin Stefanski didn’t call a good game the time Mayfield struggled. Poor guy just can’t catch a break.
He played playoff teams. That’s your context. But the constant effort to make excuses is cute.
The Red Board has jumped the shark
Mayfield’s playoff “pattern?”

Eagles are a playoff team. They're a good defense?
2020 Steelers: 3rd overall, 3rd scoring (BM played well)
2020 Chiefs: 16th overall, 10th scoring (BM didn't play well)
2023 Eagles: 26th overall, 30th scoring (BM played well)
The 2020 Steelers was the best defense he faced in the playoffs and he lit them up. How does that fit into your newest excuse? He played well in one game vs. a great Defense. And then he didn't the next game vs. a lesser defense. And then he did the next game vs. an even lesser defense. Consistently inconsistent, regardless of opponent.
It's comical watching you attempt to square-peg this round-hole.
“Success is all Canales …. But here are Mayfield’s numbers without Canales to show … he’s …. um …. inconsistent.”
(actually, to put down ‘Mrs Mayfield”)
Canales is responding to a question about drops but his words underscore the philosophical difference between lat year’s offense a d this years offense AND HIGHLIGHT why it’s not all Mayfield or any one player (or coach) for that matter:
”
I couldn’t really tell you – that just happens sometimes,” Canales said. “I’d love to see a day where we made all of those plays for the guys that were coming to life – Cade [Otton] really doing a fantastic job in the game.
“We’ve been talking about that complement to Mike [Evans]. When teams do stuff to neutralize Mike, everybody else has to contribute. Trey [Palmer], David Moore, Cade, Chris [Godwin] had a couple of [opportunities] in there – and certainly the run game is a big part of that, too”
LAST YEAR our approach was to pass and when that didn’t work pass more to the point that Evans saw nothing but deep shell defenses.
LAST GAME the Eagles tried to take away Evans and Godwin (just like the Saints, Panthers) in comes the 2nd wave receivers and RBs.
balance matters

The KC game he lost one of his tackles on the first snap of the game, but you know, that didn't affect the game at all. Higgins fumbling out of the back of the endzone for a touchback and turnover was his fault? That TD would have made the difference between a win and a loss. His lone interception was a great play by Mathieu who has done that all his career. The narrative after the game was Baker played great and almost beat Mahommes, but here we have people acting like she played like crap all game...smdh
