Most likely. But a great experience for this team and something to build on for next year
had to be extremely tough to be the guy after Brady and for he and Evans to have great chemistry
so many things could have gone wrong this year to change the future of this team and that run from 4-7 to divisional round may just have kept Evans in Tampa

Mayfields ratings: PFF 14, SNews 17, CBS 17, PFN 17. Baker overperformed expectations and did better than Derek Carr for example, but yeah he's a middle of the pack QB. That's fine. Patrick Mahomes isn't coming here. He's a great leader for a young team. So sign him for two years, but don't overpay. He's liable to get worn down by injuries after a couple years. That's what worries me most about Baker. I see injuries in his future. I do hope the Bucs can resign him for three years, two guaranteed.

haha yeah attacked for saying he would get a 1 year $25 million deal at 4-6 if Bowles was retained. Was even rationale to say with a loss to Carolina at 4-8, Trask would likely get a few starts.
Now given the finish to the season, even Baker's most staunch "Well he isn't Patrick Mahomes...meh...seee (1930's bad guy voice" will admit he will get a 2 or 3 year deal at that dollar amount are coming on board to reality. they dont exist. Drew Brees, Favre, and Rodgers all top 10 QBs of all time and each have just 1 Superbowl. Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Kirk Cousins, Justin Herbert. All considered top QBs in our league today. Let me ask you something. throw out this year with Mahomes still alive. What's more likely after this year...another Mahomes Superbowl or one of those guys winning it.
so be content we actually have a competent QB. But yeah, if you are going to compare him to MVP Brady or Mahomes, you will he disappointed. but be reasonable, dont think it's easy to get yourself one of those...you have higher odds of getting a Bryce Young and if lucky a mediocre Trevor Lawrence.
