Whenever I hear this kind of crap (which I have over and over again) I'll keep saying: Brady, Purdy.
So when you hear that kind of crap you think of the historically rare exceptions?
“Yeah don’t know what you got until you let them play”
That’s a borderline retarded quote. You probably got a pretty good sense of what you got through years together practicing.yes, there’s a 0.002% chance you get yourself a Tom Brady who needs the chance to play.
Wouldn’t exactly call Brock purdy the answer just yet. Playing well on a stacked team but 49ers should win Super Bowl with that roster so if he falls short, is he the answer or is he Dak Prescott?
yeah let’s start Ryan griffin because “we don’t know what we got until we see him play”

I think, in some...you will see flashes or potential. Its up to coaches and to water that potential and prune weaknesses. At the very minimum, stay with the same coaching staff to water and prune over time, seasonS. If you switch from year to year and must re-invent the wheel all over again, "set up to fail 101." Griffin was with us for years, perhaps he didnt show enough to warrant "tru" playing time, although he NEVER tuly even got real game experience. But Baker is different, hes got loads of talent IMHO, he just needs a coach to work with him and help him grow. Brady went from basically nothing- a 6th round pick, there were likely members of the coaching team that didnt even know his first name until he was thrust into action and became the GOAT along the way, thats the 0.0002%, I dont know anything about Purdy I really dont, but Prescott has some talent...but I dont like his attitude, he is and will always be a "ME FIRST" playa, I remember him justifying his salary demands in excess of TB12 but using the puZ excuse about Gisele being rich too...I would never ever follow a man like that....never. But thats just me and my 2c.
Heres sum unfortunate truth and reality, and I hate to simplify an extremely nuanced concept in this manner, buuut, HUmanIty in one aspect is symbolically like "sheeps and lions." Their are a few true Lions in this world and a TON of sheep. For A L'Ion, its extremely easy to tell the difference (its in the eyes and decisions). Sheep...well they dont even realize they are sheep much less recognize a L'Ion. Gotta keep the Lions and get rid of the sheep.
Heres an example. White is a Sheep, Prescott is a sheep, Ezekiel Elliot is a sheep
Cadillac Williams POST patellar knee repair=Lion, Brady obviously is a GOAT....Baller is a Lion too- he's just consistency away. Typically, and I stress the typically, tru Lions have more money than they need or even want, self-contentment(=confidence) is not a purchasable item, L'Ions are less greedy because they dont fear where they will get there next meal from- they Hunt. If that doesnt make sense, then...probably S, if you understand that logic-then us understand easily. For example, does the car make the man, or does the man make the car? I got a nice one, but I find myself driving my old F150- its a tank and gets me from point a-b easily. I let my wife drive the "fancy car," she needs it more than I.

Ryan Griffin's combined college stats in 4 years at Tulane in C-USA aren't as good as Trask's 2 years at UF in the SEC. You're comparing crabapples to Red Delicious...
Bucs haven't seen how good I am... I think I should start.
I can throw a football over them mountains
The only reason the Brady/Purdy comment was relevant to me was that IF that is your comparison then why the hell are you calling for Trask (and beating up Mayfield as a proxy for “bring on Trask”) all season long?
It’s why I asked in a thread who Trask supporters thought Trask would have performed like this season. He was NEVER getting in this season if his selling point was a Cinderella song (don’t know what ya got…)

As I have said, I believe Trask would have played at least as well, but probably better over the length of the season. He might have started slower out of the gate, but you saw in preseason how quickly he was improving with playing time. He reads defenses better and faster than Mayfield. You could see it in the preseason when he'd pass right through his progressions in 1...2...3 form and throw it. He doesn't lock onto receivers nearly as much, and he was clearly more accurate on the intermediate and deep balls.

Favre, Young, and others. The thing is you don't know if you have one of those historical exceptions until they get real playing time, do you? Kind of the whole point. Those 49ers coaches were such dumb asses that they had Purdy as the number 3 QB as if he was the last pick of the draft or something.......oh......wait a minute. He was the LAST F'ING PICK IN THE DRAFT! I don't know why I have to keep explaining this crap to some of you. YOU can believe Trask isn't the guy. The COACHES can believe he's not the guy. But the simple REALITY is that NOBODY, let me say that again, NOBODY knows if Trask is a franchise QB or not. We haven't seen him play with the starters for but 2 plays. He was a second round pick QB and teams usually don't keep going along without letting them play some to find out if they can be a starter, but we have. Why? Cause our head coach was too worried about success this year and wanted his dream QB here that he wanted to draft in NY. Now we are stuck in a situation where we could lose Baker to another team, but, even if we don't, the next guy may not get the "average" but career year out of him that Canales did. And we still don't know what Trask is capable of.
Short term thinking is going to bite us in the ass.
Kind of the whole point.
Not really.
unless math is really not your thing.
now, let me go the power company I don’t need power anymore I have a battery that can store power from a lightning strike
I don't know why I have to keep explaining this crap to some of you
Actually some of us have been trying to get you to stop
since September
lol
Well, that was definitely a couple of your worst posts, which is saying a lot. Math has nothing to do with it. Odds don't mean anything as there is no way to predict with any level of accuracy what you truly have in a QB until they start playing with live bullets. If NFL coaches and GM's knew really well how to find a great NFL QB, there wouldn't be so many first round busts, and guys like Brady and Purdy wouldn't go late in the draft, and a guy like Kurt Warner wouldn't be bagging groceries. I mean, seriously, you all are just stupid, and I'm going leave it at that.

“Breaking news: handful of Buc fans from pewter report message board outside of one Buc place protesting that fellow message board fan was not given a fair shot by the buccaneers to be quarterback of the team. When asked of one of the protestors why, he simply said “what a stupid question! Have you ever seen him play in a real game?”
yeah let’s start Ryan griffin because “we don’t know what we got until we see him play”

and how about trask college career to baker mayfield?
Clearly one was better to be drafted #1 overall. While college career is nice clearly doesn’t guarantee's success in NFL - Ryan leaf, Jamarcus russell, Tim Tebow etc
and clearly I didn’t bring up this point. You did. Does draft status matter, no? College stats clearly don’t matter.
it seems to be the arguing point was that trask was good enough to be on an NFL team and he hasn’t been handed the starting job, had to earn it, but some bust QB beat him out, led Bucs to playoffs and even won a game. Looks like Bucs clearly made the right choice yet some simpletons can’t even admit that as we sit here end of January. Seems quite delusional of some of you.
did Bucs make the right choice in starting mayfield? Yes or No question. But no I’ll get the “well maybe Trask would have cured cancer if given the chance to start”
