While everyone is focused upon the upcoming FA period and then the draft I was looking over the roster today and noticed that Murray is still on the roster (I knew we IR'd him last season and just forgot about him). For the one full season he kicked for us, he did a great job and if I recall he has a strong leg for kickoffs (shown only in pre-season if I remember correctly) and he was really good at the long 50+ field goals.Anyone have any preference of Barth over Murray or the other way around? Barth had a couple shaky moments for us last season and while he usually put the ball into the endzone on his kickoffs, he had a habit of having at least one per game that came up short and came down around the 5 yard line.I'm looking forward to the competition again and I wonder if Barth will be able to win the 2nd time around or if Murray beats him twice.Just a few of Murray's highlights in case some forgot:Made 20-of-24 field goal attempts and all 31 of his PATs.Ended the season with 13 consecutive made fields goals, the longest current streak in the NFL and the fourth-longest in Buccaneers history.Tied for fourth in NFL with five field goals of 50 yards or more (six attempts). His 83.3 percent conversion rate from that distance was the highest among the 15 players with more than four attempts.Not a critical camp battle this season, but should be a fun one to watch at training camp.
