Vikings job has go to be the worse situation. All they have is Peterson and Patterson.

probably the worse.  But working for Daniel Synder has to rank pretty low as well, although it might be a good situation for a coach to turn around if they can work with RG3.

I'd put Bucs job right smack in the middle of the pack.

1. Houston (Not far removed from playoffs, with opportunity to fix their QB problem quickly)2. Detroit (Strong DL, best WR in the game)3. Tampa Bay (Young stars, good cap)4. Minnesota (3 first round picks last year, best RB in the league)5. Washington (would be last if it werent for...)6. Cleveland (trade away a 1st round pick, holds first year coach responsible)

Schiano's legacy to me will be he had the brass to rid the team of it's discipline-challenged players, even in the face of strong resistance from his GM and owners.   That and a young, high IQ, strong-armed QB IMO makes Tampa Bay a very attractive venue for a new HC...

i think the Lion's are being over valued by the media. Stafford is not an elite QB in my opinion, an above average one yes but not elite. He has been in the league for 5 years now WITH one of the best receivers of all time and what has he really done? and while Suh is a huge talent he is also has to be a concern to the next guy coming in to coach. if you try to reign him in (not in his play but in his attitude, like it or not it has cost the Lion's in the past) you run the risk of alienating him, possibly causing some drama therethe Texans are a question mark, right now they don't have the QB of the future. Yes they have the #1 pick in the draft but there are no guarantees there. If Ben Tate doesn't return then you need to worry more about Foster's health. One on hand they play in a week(er) division which could mean quicker success but on the other hand, with drafting a QB #1 there will be high expectations sooner rather than later which may make the "produce or get fired" window a lot smaller.I really don't think there is much drop off between the Lions, Texans and the Bucs. All 3 jobs have their high points and low points. It might come down to the owners/front office and how the coaching candidates feel about working for them. I don't know much about other front offices so I can not really state an opinion on that.

I think I agree with this. Its difficult with the Texans. Maybe I'm wrong, but they seem old. Having #1 pick certainly helps, though

Texans-Loads of talent on both sides of the ball and the #1 overall pickBucs-Solid defensive talent with a few Pro Bowlers on Offense and the #7 pick, and plenty of cap space to bring in the right playersLions-Great talent all over the field and a QB who a few years ago who threw for 5,000 yards. They'd be higher but a few of the players are headcasesRedskins-Meddling owner but a promising QB and no First round pickVikings-Adrian Peterson, and a future in a outdoor stadium in Minnesota? No, thanks!Browns-They are the Browns and play in a competitive division with the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals. Some teams are the doormats and the Browns are well the Browns.

Just be thankful we're not a Vikings or Redskins fan because that is one bleak scenario to be in.

Are they building an outdoor stadium in Minnesota?  That's about the coldest place in the lower 48.  I should know.  I grew up there.  The coldest it ever gets around here in NE is 0 and I hate it. I remember in Minnesota -30 and -100 WCF.

With the exception of the Browns, most coaches would start by considering all of those other teams first.  The Bucs are a smallish team in a small market that gets almost no national exposure (see Lavonte David). The Bucs are a chance for a coach to make a name for himself BUT that is uphill climbing whereas going to a team like the Redskins, even with Allen at the helm, puts you on the front page immediately . .  high profile, evne though I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that team

Next 2 years the Vikes play outdoors, then back to a indoor stadium

1. Detroit: Electric offense, great DLine, just need some back 7 help and not have an idiot for a coach.2. Tampa but I suppose that depends on how you view Glennon3. Texans Great ownership and stadium, but Key pieces are getting old, their QB situation is interesting.  4. Minn: Some nice players, new stadium edit: eventually5. Cle: Need a QB which is tough and a RB which is easy.  But this is a pretty good team with a rapid fan base.  6. Redskins: Will always be the worst place for a HC not named Oakland

We'll back in the 70s when I was a kid they did play outside.  Green Bay is just as cold and it's outside.  I wouldn't enjoy it however.  But Minnesotians are a strange breed.  When winter would break and it would be 45 degrees we would all be wearing shorts and t-shirts.  13 years living in Florida erased all my tolerance for the cold.

i think the Vikings are dropping the ball on this. They should take advantage of the natural home field advantage they would have playing outdoors. it wouldn't help that much up against Green Bay and Chicago but against the Lions (look at the Eagles game this year) and just about every other team that has to go to Minnesota come dec/jan. I could be bias though being a Viking fan back in the early 70s.

Can you imagine what today's NFLPA would say about those gravel end zones at Metropolitan Stadium?
