Right. He took less money last year so that he could implement his evil plan to make more money THIS year. Brilliant.

Talib did that.

The fact Bennett is willing to leave a superbowl contending team with a top tier defense in hopes of a bigger paycheck screams volumes about where his loyalties lie.IF that infact ends up happening.

What is wrong with someone wanting to be paid what ever he thinks his skills/talents are worth? You seem like the type that would be content with just finding a job and not worry about moving up in life. Every free agent that has come to Tampa in the last two years falls in that category of players leaving better teams in pursuit of $$. Even Darrelle Revis, who was pursued like a free agent with a draft picks involved in the background. In some cases it is money alone that motivates players, and in some cases its their liking of the game along with money. I believe Bennett is of the latter type as he always has been a great hustle player.

they want the money first... it's a one good contract league if you're not a 1st round pick!when the money isn't here they want the ring... Jared Allen will not sign for the 4-12 Bucs if you don't show the money!coming here for $5M when you can go to the Broncos, Pats, Seahawks, Panthers or Colts for the same $$$, why?

Was forwarded a link today for an interview with Bennett at the Super Bowl. He said that his wife and Gerald McCoys wife are best friends and that he and McCoy are very close and talk every week. I can see him coming back. Don't underestimate the power of the wives.

Didn't Prince have a song about that?

He would definitely come back ....Bennett will go to whoever shows him the money. He'll got to Jacksonville and play Nose Guard if they offered him the right deal.

He's not here now because he overvalued himself. I really doubt that has changed.

I'd think a players ultimate goal would be about winning.Leaving a winning team for money, when already getting paid millions, says alot.

Yea because why would greg hardy even look into leaving the panthers their winning, why would drew brees leave the chargers they were winning, why would tony g leave the chiefs for the falcons they were winning? Matter of fact john lynch left because of money after 2003, he should of took his paycut we were winning then too.  Selfish Selfish players all of them. Looking to max out on the chance to make more money.

It's a job.  I don't know about you but I work for the money. Plus it's not like Bennett has made huge money already.  This is the deal that sets him up for life.
