Another example of why its a terrible rule. The Texans knew who they wanted, but they needed to talk to a black guy first. The rule doesn't work. As far as O'Brien going to Houston - great. Penn State is wide open Greg, time to put all your eggs in that basket.

Its a good hire for the Texans. As far as Penn State goes, I think they hire Al Golden. He is a Penn State guy and a damn fine football coach. Squeaky clean too. They need someone like him after all the Sandusky BS. O'brien did a nice job righting the ship, now Golden will move it forward.Schiano would be down the list a bit IMO. He has a couple questionable things on his resume, Nothing serious, but just enough to make Penn State say, thanks, but no thanks. Maybe later on down the road Greg. Keep in touch.
Not sure Al Golden would leave his current situation for the mess that Penn St is. He is finally starting to rebuild Miami. I think Mike Munchak gets the job.
