Every word out of his mouth pisses me off... And yeah I'll be shocked if we move on.
We're fucked
Glad I tuned in. I needed a good laugh.
Absolute fucking clown getting called out by 2 of his players publicly and another 2 off the record.
Flexing his division titles was the best part.
All he was missing was a big squishy red nose and oversized floppy shoes.
Dude just will not take ownership... Coen is the exact opposite. Players love him.
We chose this shit
Had he not signed the extension id be more confident of him being gone.
we need a change. All of us basically agree special teams certainly. I’m sure most would prefer move on from grizz.
would those two be enough? I don’t think so.
pr had a solid article 5 reasons they need to move on from Bowles. I don’t disagree with any of them.
I‘m getting nervous
we need a change
Pretty sure the Glazers agree.
would be something though. Going by the reaction here to him not being fired on Day 1 wow it woukd be rough if they kept him on
Dude just will not take ownership..
Kind of a funny lesson on the way fans work. You didn't watch the press conference and now reacting to other people who didn't watch the press conference.
I know you didn't watch it because he does take ownership repeatedly. He says he is the starting point of the evaluation. And even says they have to fix the way they play etc
dint take my word though This is the lead article on JBF this morning
"
Joe already touched upon how he does not understand Bucs coach Todd Bowles’ critics, where they claim he does not hold himself accountable.
Joe reads and hears this all the time, yet almost every time Bowles stands behind a microphone, he does take responsibility."
it's Ira Kaufman who asks the fan question lol
Dude just will not take ownership
Bowles - "“It starts with me – once I get that together and go through things I can do better, and I can do better for the team and I can lead better."
we need a change
Pretty sure the Glazers agree.

yeah this is a good point. absolute chaos.
from the human level, you feel sorry for Bowles
but holy hell, i just cant imagine them keeping him on; i have never seen such disgust from a fan base but then again have never seen such a collapse; closest being the Gruden collapse that ended his fate
when he was trying to lean on the division titles is when you realize, dude, we wouldn't have won a division in any other division and you had 1 fluke win over the Eagles who were losing to the Giants and Cardinals before playing us, otherwise you'd be 1 and done in each of your playoff seasons.
We have hit a ceiling with Todd and it's time for an upgrade
i am pretty sure you are correct that they will move on but we better hear news this week or else i'd be concerned.

I saw the highlights. I don't care that he made a token statement of ownership. His actions the past few weeks have said what he really feels.
I'm supposed to ignore his actions for his latest plea to stay?
Cmon now... I don't need to sit through his mumbling press conference to know what he really thinks. He's repeatedly blame the players.
He's repeatedly blame the players.
I don't see it that way but that might just be my own internal bias. I certainly get your point either way.
in my mind he's said here at the end of his tenure that it's on the players to do their jobs. That seems obvious when you look at a player like Tykee Smith. The HC is still responsible for everything but the correction was player discipline, doing their job etc
I don't think that is evading responsibility. It's honesty. Too little too late
Stil though, my own bias maybe because evading responsibility is pretty inconsistent with who the guy has been his whole career.
id be incredibly surprised if they keep him. As I said 3-4 weeks ago he's lost the team. You can see that even in the player versus other players critiques like Disney. The system was not working so things fell apart as players deviated. That is a story old as time.
Just like Bowles said yesterday he has yet to meet with Licht and the Glazers.
one guy's take
"Team Glazer has a decision to make on Bowles, who yesterday candidly said he does not know his 2026 coaching fate.
If it were an easy decision for the Bucs owners, it would have been made already."
the HCs fired yesterday were pretty straightforward because they were so far off the mark
A question in the PR mailbag that is right on point
"
So the current rumors are Todd Bowles is safe. Say he fires his geriatric defensive staff and hires some young blood. Josh Grizzard is supposedly on the hot seat, say he goes. That’s a ton of turnover on a staff, and at that point, what’s the point in even retaining Bowles"
I agree - if you’re going to overhaul it that much - why not go with a new HC?
If you want to go with a defensive head coach - why not a guy like Vance Joseph? Hes done a great job building a great defense in Denver (I believe based on a 3-4, as well).
If you want to go with an offensive-minded HC - why not a name like Joe Brady? His offense looks like it could suit Baker - with enough room that he could take advantage of Baker’s mobility and arm strength.
Now (and suddenly) thinking this could go either way. I think the collapse had a more to do with players giving up. Yaya wasn’t as subtle about the lack of practices contributing to players not getting enough practice in those December games - that’s pure coaching. Also, I now believe the scheme is a problem.
Go big or go home.
We are home.
"I've earned the chance. I've won three straight division titles so that says a lot as far as I'm concerned." Todd Bowles 1/5/26
Nope. I'm not buying it. 8-9. 9-8. 10-7. 8-9. 1-3 playoffs. Three division titles in the weakest division in NFL football. Sure Todd, good job. He's had four years to get this ship sailing. And all it's doing is sitting dead in the water. If the Glazers stand pat with Bowles as HC, it indicates to me that they're not interested in having a winning football program. They're accepting mediocrity. They're accepting lack of measurable progress.
Just like Bowles said yesterday he has yet to meet with Licht and the Glazers.

but that's the thing, moving on from Bowles is an EASY decision
quite frankly, he was the only option given the bind we were in back in 2022. He did a terrible job that year and still have the sour taste of that Brady demise. Somehow, yet, that wasn't his worst year as head coach. Got destroyed in the playoffs.
he then was packaged in 2023 and 2024 by the emergence of Baker Mayfield and OCs that went on to become head coaches. Still, he managed barely over .500 years with a 9-8 record and 10-7 record. These were suppose to be rebuilding years so kudos to him for that effort but again, offense not his specialty. Even so, those records would not have been playoff bound in just about any other division. Beat a collapsing Eagles team who lost to subpar teams then defense failed him in the second round against Detroit. Underperformed as Favorites to Washington the next year, 1 and done.
So now the expectations are higher, just had a top 5 offense, a 10-7 record, and we are still in weak division. Let's build off of it. In our 50 year anniversary, a 6-2 start; one of the best starts in franchise history, #1 in power rankings by some; predicted to be Superbowl bound by others (Pete Prisco, Nick Wright), and you have 6 relatively easy games where you are favored to end the year. Hell, we got a shot at the #1 seed
you then lose 3 in a row, albeit to good teams in NE, BUF, and LAR; we are 6-5, hey it's our normal mid season funk, we will snap out of it with the easy games coming up and starting to get our guys back. We've been here before
well...boy were we surprised. It wasn't the 2-7 that did Bowles in, it was the 2-4 that did him in in the easier games. WTF was that? a collapse like no other. Very easy decision to move on.
it's not like we were winning divisions with 12 and 13 win seasons, we were barely scrapping by and winning in spite of him
good bye Todd. Love to go to Church with you. great dude, just not a qualified NFL football head coach. But then again, not many are.,
