I agree - if you’re going to overhaul it that much - why not go with a new HC?
If you want to go with a defensive head coach - why not a guy like Vance Joseph? Hes done a great job building a great defense in Denver (I believe based on a 3-4, as well).
If you want to go with an offensive-minded HC - why not a name like Joe Brady? His offense looks like it could suit Baker - with enough room that he could take advantage of Baker’s mobility and arm strength.
Now (and suddenly) thinking this could go either way. I think the collapse had a more to do with players giving up. Yaya wasn’t as subtle about the lack of practices contributing to players not getting enough practice in those December games - that’s pure coaching. Also, I now believe the scheme is a problem.
Go big or go home.
We are home.
great post
moving on from Bowles is an EASY decision
It wouldn't be for the owners, but even if you believe that, do the Glazers strike you as the kind of people that would fire their head coach, without first talking to the general manager and or the head coach?
That's the point. So many people here are freaking out because of the black Monday thing, but Bowles press conference was a regular postseason press conference that was happening before his meeting with the owners

Players jump off sinking ships quickly.
this is why Bowles deserved CREDIT for back to back seasons where his youngish teams went 5-1 in December to pull themselves out of a slump
It's also why he is BLAME worthy for 1-5 this December. It's his system. Under pressure he lost the commitment of his players to that system

When you’re the tallest midget, I guess you may as well be proud of it.

The players tuned out the coaches. Bowles has to figure out how to regain their trust or it else it will be tough sledding.

i think it's tough to gain back. Once you lose it, there's no getting it back; sort of like if a girl looses interest in you; game over cuz
The Players got the ICK when it came to Bowles and it's donzo
Fire Bowles.
Hire Stefanski for Baker and Raheem as D coordinator.
Come on Glazers. Im not spending another dime until Bowles is fired. I might not even watch next year.
Yea it would be another wasted season under Bowles. Not sure the glazers care theyve been through it all as owners. Another losing season wouldn't do anything to them. They could go get a hc next year and there would be new interest from that. This year if they keep bowles interest would definitely be low. If they do care I'd make changes. Bowles is not liked by the fanbase.
Can I switch my name back or nah?

He's not even the tallest midget anymore.
Harbaugh out in Baltimore.
I'd have to lean toward Bowles being gone.
1) He apparently doesn't know, which is why he lobbied for himself.
2) There have been no statements of support from Licht or the Glazers.
3) The scheduled meeting - I realize they do this every year. As I've said it's not to summarize the past. It's about the future, and what can Bowles say that would tidy up the mess of 2025 and present a bold and exciting plan for 2026? Coaches need to be fired. Players are underperforming. What can Bowles say that will give the Glazers a positive outlook? As for Licht, these are his players who are underperforming under Bowles. You want to fire the assistant coaches? That just undercuts Bowles even more and makes him more of a lame duck. I just don't see this meeting going well.
